Thanks to my day job at Kelley Blue Book, I drive and review lots of cars. Today I’m driving a 2018 Mazda Mazda6 Signature trim, that’s the super fancy one. That means it offers a more-powerful 2.5-liter turbocharged engine rated at 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque…but only if you run 93 octane. As the most expensive Mazda6 the Signature trim is priced around $36,000. That’s not cheap but it does include fancy features like heated and ventilated front seats, Nappa, special wood trim, and a 360-degree camera system.
To be more specific, the car I’m driving is Kelley Blue Book’s long-term Mazda6 test car. It’s a 2018 model but given the minor updates Mazda made for 2019 KBB’s long-termer remains a good example of what you’d buy from your nearest Mazda dealer. And just so the premise is ultra-clear, this is not a comprehensive review but rather a casual look at the Mazda Mazda6 Signature, while I live my normal life. Simple. Fun! #MicahDrives
