Headlight removal and retrofitting projectors in the new Protege for a great upgrade without spending a whole bunch. Love how it turned out! I'm by no means a professional but it's a way to get better lighting without blinding oncoming traffic and paying quite a bit less than 'branded' plug-n-play LED options.
Tools you will need:
-8mm and 10mm sockets, extensions, ratchet
-Various small and medium Philips screwdrivers
-Medium sized flathead screwdriver
-Wiring tools (wire stripper, crimper, tape, etc)
Parts used:
Projectors: www.amazon.com...
HID kit: www.amazon.com...
A 6000k kit will provide the more bluish-white light you see with "daylight" home bulbs, or modern vehicles with factory LED headlights, however they have slightly lower lumen output. A 4300k kit kit will provide best light output, with a color temperature closer to earlier factory HID lights found on vehicles such as Lexus and Nissan.
For Protege sedan (H4 bulb) a relay harness will need to be purchased or made for proper low and high functionality. Such as this one: www.theretrofi...
