Is it just me or does the engine run a litle harder than usual at idle. The compression is close if not the same as a diesel as you said so.. did you notice it running a bit to rough for a petrol?
@@tomfischer6939 In the Netherlands the extra cost for skyactiv x is 950. Because the tax on skyactiv-g is so high and on X very low. Simply because of emissions.
too bad the automatic is so behind the times. If manual in Mazda 3 does 8.2 seconds, imagine what a more modern AT or Dual Clutch one would achieve. Might even be less than 8 seconds and with even lower fuel consumption.
Search for sky active drive, its their own tech on transmission. And I think its all about the tune. Their transmission are on the comfort rather than speed. Just by looking their gear ratios, they are long
@@Astke Mazda 3's use a normal 6 speed auto transmission with a torque converter, not a CVT or DSG. Their current transmissions (both auto and manual) are generally well regarded by professional reviewers. Europe and many markets do not get the 2.5liter SkyActiv G, so the Skyactiv X in those markets will be the most powerful engine choice, however my 2.5 Skyactiv G (FWD with Auto) takes closer to 7.4 seconds to go 0-100 kph
