Today we change the motor mounts on our Mazdaspeed Protege. We took amazon / eBay motor mounts and packed them with polyurethane caulking. The difference is night and day. Although it transmits more vibration to the cabin the car feels much more tight and transfers the power way more direct. Thanks for watching and join us for this cheap, reliable upgrade.

Next on the list: Intercooler hard piping and aluminum smic! There is also a gentleman producing aluminum radiators for the MSP that's the correct length when paired with the smic as well.

Nightmare to change. I have all new mounts, except the rear. Ford/mazda bs

That rear motor mount is the absolute worst to change for these cars. That plastic cover for the wiring loom is difficult, I usually cut the threaded stud after removal for clearance. Best way to get to the rear motor mount is removing the intake manifold, hardest part of the the manifold is the egr tube on the exhaust manifold, it is a 26mm but. But with the intake manifold removed you have full access to the rear motor mount bolts and you can do the knock sensor which has likely lost its fluid by now.

How's it holding up? I bought the generic motor mounts as well and I kind of like your idea of packing the caulking in there. Everything still tight?

@@114RIDES Good to hear! I'm going to attempt this soon and I had 2 questions. Did it take 1 tube of caulking or 2 to fill all the mounts. My 2nd question. For the back motor mount (the hardest one to get to), was it better to come in from the top or the bottom. I appreciate your answer!

its a long shot but i have a question..i have mazda 323 2.0 ditd(diesel) 2000.g. and i have a question about transmition mount..is that mazda on video manual? if so i think its the same mount..i didnt remove battery to see clearly but i can see that lach for break line...OEM part from mazda is very expensive where im from (like alsmot 150 dollars)so im on a hunt for that trans mount
