Changing the Velocity on the fly using 'MC_Velocity' need to be specially considered. There are two methods to change the velocity on the fly. This video discuss the #1 method, using MC_Power Override function.

I need to switch directions but i cant wait for my velocity to reach the setpoint. Is there a way to cancel the velocity control to get rid of the busy state or how can i solve this? Using an override of -100% should do it but it does not allow negative values. Maybe can i trick the velocity control bij using an override to let it think it reached its setpoint so i can send a new command?

This is very good question, actually this changing vel on the fly is an essential function for converting machine control. I used this way for unwind/rewind. The motor speed (rpm) which is calculated by diameter-speed math or tension PID is the velocity setpoint input of the MC Velocity

It have only to motor have no other sensor how to control speed and tension of fabric ?

@@vorapobautomation9760 The winder control is not easy and not easy to discuss here. If you do want to learn the winder control strategy, please send me an email and I would provide billable hours for explaining the details of control and math. The message I mean above is the motion control concept, definitely, you need tension and diameter measurement or calculation, there are many math and calculation behind.

What's up bud? The siemens override comes from its axis variable. Or you can use two MC_Vel Function blocks for changing Vel. on the fly. I will launch a video next Monday.
