Not to mention, he made it clear that any response would be pointless with "the same records that you're making is paying me" and "Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday". At this point Dre was stuck between a rock and a hard place, as any diss that he put his name on would prove Eazy's point. Edit: the reason why I'm saying that is, Eazy-E managed to get Dre to agree to a contract that stated that until the original Ruthless contract expired, Dre could only jump ship to Death Row is part of his albums' sales went to Ruthless. So yeah, Eazy-E got some sweet dough out of Fuck Wit Dre Day.

I don't think they were mocking Dre. IMO that's just the sound of the West Coast. Dre wasn't a real street dude. The pics were probably from the mid to late 80s from when he did more pop music/dance music. And Easy killed this track. Way better than Dre Day to me because it had facts.
@chubbychuckle
@chubbychuckle 6 лет назад
All Star 1 fact lol. The rest was just talk. Eazy talked about him faking for the music, how he used to be a dancer, how Suge was doing him and others dirty at death row, and the Dre was abusing women.
@chubbychuckle
@chubbychuckle 6 лет назад
@DJ Fair but there is a difference between doing it and rapping about it. The majority of things rappers rap about they shouldn't do and many don't. You are probably right about it still being hypocritical though.

I really enjoyed this reaction vid lol! Just a few things that you needed cleared up: First, In reference to 9:47, Dre and Snoop are talking about Luther Campbell aka Luke or sometimes known as "Uncle Luke" from Miami based rap group "2 Live crew." The genesis of that beef is based around a comment that Luke had made in a magazine about Dre and Death Row sometime in late 1992 which is why he's marginally mentioned on this track along with Eazy. They mentioned the gap in his teeth because in those days and even now, Luke has a very pronounced and noticeable gap in both the top and bottom set of his teeth. Also, Luke and 2 Live crew were famous for rocking bomber style jackets, hints what the character had on in the video. In reference to 14:32, YES that is a legit pic of Dr. Dre in the very beginning phase of his career during his time with R&B group "World class wreckin' crew." Back in the early 80's, Dre was the mix master spinning records for them in the background. Finally in reference to 19:59, that particular lyric is based around Suge Knight's treatment of his underlings and business associates, as it's now public knowledge that violence broke out on damn near a daily basis at Death Row due to Suge's inability to separate his street mentality from his blooming business sense at that time. Now in 2022, Death Row as a property has been acquired by Snoop as of February.

Luke (Luther Campbell) was someone who Dre had some beef with. Campbell was the one who brought in a rap duo called "2-Live-Crew", a controversial rap group out of Miami in the early 90s. At the same time, Snoop Dogg was going at a rapper called Tim Dog, someone from the Bronx who made a song called "F--- Compton".
@rd3095
@rd3095 6 лет назад
Luke is from 2 Live Crew. Apparently he threw the hands on Dre in Miami back in the day. Also Snoop says "Tim M-U-T" not "damn amputee". He is talking about Tim Dawg, a rapper that was dissing the West coast rappers for the "gangster" shit. That picture of Dre is from his World Class Wreckin Crew days. Just think of Van Halen when comparing Dre's looks from that period to the Death Row days. the Wreckin Crew was before all the gang stuff. It was dance music, and they had a few hits. One was "turn out the lights" which was pretty big, especially for some punk kids from Compton. Just shows Dre's musical abilities. This must be said: Yes, Dre is the King of West Coast smash hits. No doubt. but you mention in the video it sounded like they were imitating Dre's sound on "real mofo G's". That "G-funk" sound is not exclusively Dres. Check out Big Hutch/Cold 187um from the group Above the Law. Him and Kokane helped Dre define that sound we all know as Gfunk

That pic of Dre was when he was in a group called world class wrecking crew. He produced some of their songs. It wasn't rap more of dance type music. It wasn't photoshopped lolol. The beef was over money. It's the reason Ice cube was the first to leave nwa. Easy E was in tight with the record company owner Jerry Levine. Ice Cube had arguably the best dis track of them all involved. It's called No Vaseline.

What's up metal biker dude... Okay let me explain Luke is from the 2 Live Crew Luke Skywalker when he said Tim mut that's Tim Dog from new York he made a song called f*** Compton like in year before... You asked about MC Ren before that's Eazy-E's homeboy they are both Kelly Park Crips from Compton Snoop is a Long Beach Rollin 20 crip two different things little side note

Of NWA only eazy and ren banged. That pic is real and from dre's group before NWA. That were the 80s though lol. Dresta and knocc out (the guys in eazy's song) are recognized Gs from compton, same as eazy (kelly parcc crip).

I never listened to much Eazy, but I did listen to a lot of Bone Thugs N Harmony, your follower might know better then I do, but I believe Eazy discovered them/helped them get started. Besides 2pac(my favorite), you had Eazy and Bone Thugs, Dre, Snoop and later Eminem--what an awesome time to era or rap, top notch stuff. Geez everyone’s suggesting really good music, I like your chats style.

@Onetime 4-Real He never thought of signin' him and I can't really picture that, they just don't match, no one fits as a component to him than Dre, same style music, leaders of their record labels, came out of Compton and grew up with eachother, as Eazy bein' the original Hip-Hop thugsta and Dre the marijuana G-funk master, that would blend well

Luke is from 2 Live Crew who also had beef with Snoop and Dre around this time. There’s also several references to Tim Dogg, another rapper from Miami I believe (2 Live Crew is also from Miami) who had beef with Snoop around this time, though I’m not sure of the history that beef. It’s true that Dre discovered Snoop and introduced him to the world, but the song that introduced him was “Deep Cover” from the soundtrack of the movie of the same name.

While Dr Dre makes music under a new label death row Eazy-E still makes money off of Dr Dre like a percentage like a counteract claws something like that, that's why the song says Dre day only made eazy pay day, in the beginning of the video
