Thanks for this! I'm from the Caribbean and I intend to do my MPH here, then a masters in bioethics in a couple years, followed by med school. Still deciding on what school. The McGill programme seems cool, but now this Harvard one seems cool as well. I'll have to research whether international students can do part time as well. That would be a life saver!

I’m in the bioethics program at Columbia. I just started my program and it’s nice to meet you. What’s your plan after earning your bioethics degree? I am also interested to learn about your pathway into medical school.

Can I ask why you decided to do two masters programs if medicine is your ultimate goal?

I have a video on gap years that briefly addresses this but long story short, I wasn’t ready to apply to med school and I had a passion for both of these areas!

I'm curious now that you're almost a year into this program how you like it? Do you feel like there are career opportunities? Bioethics is still so small I'm afraid I'll finish this degree in debt and no job to pay for it

People typically use bioethics along side their "other job." For example, physicians and nurses will use bioethics in their practice, etc. However, there is a growing area of bioethics in academia!
