Me: That’s actually a pretty nice quote, why wouldn’t he share it? Me three seconds later: OH MY GOD WAIT THAT’S A DEPRESSION QUOTE AND HE CAN’T EXPLAIN IT EVER
Here are the facts: 1. This but was born not long before COVID 2. Justin wishes he hadn't made it 3. Justin only does it at live shows 4. COVID stopped live shows The conclusion: Justin started the COVID pandemic
The body language and story telling and the goddamn expressions here are SO GOOD. LOSING MY MIND over Justin losing his mind kicking and screaming LMAO. The little bounce in Griffin's "oh boy !" was fantastic... god there's just so much drama and flair to this whole bit...!!!
Love how this is staged, with the dramatic lighting and camera angles and Justin in a suit trapped in this kind of demented gameshow (of his own design). Really emphasises the gravity of his sacrifice :')
This is fantastic! I love your brother designs and your shot composition is really varied and dynamic. I'm really impressed that this is the first thing you've ever animated. You've got an amazing talent! Can't wait to see more!
Ah I really appreciate that!! "First" is a bit of an exaggeration, since I did a couple like short loop experiments previously, but this is the first longer thing I've done using camera controls and stuff. I mainly do comics 🙂 But I have something from another podcast in mind to do next!
@@avryantoinette There's some more art on my twitter (same name)! But this is my first animatic, true 😄 Thanks so much for sticking around! I'm starting a new one :)
The expression work is perfect. The dramatic angle during Travis's "Do It." and the way Justin sort of melts in despair when he keeps repeating, "Imagine!" Hilarious work.
1:15 - 1:21 Has finally taught me that the 3 Brothers are the embodiments of Good, Neutral, and Evil. Justin is Neutral, Griffin is Evil, and Travis is Good.
This is a very fun animation! I love the big game show look you gave to it, and the look of the brothers M is wonderful. The big POST button snaking out of the wall like The Nozzle from the Venture Brothers was hilarious! I look forward to seeing more animations from you!
I am in genuine absolute tears wheezing from this. The original audio is hilarious enough but with the absolutely Incredible animation I am shrieking hysterically enough to probably worry my neighbours. Amazing work
1:17 i absolutely love griffin looming over griffin with the hand on his face like an evil princess who just sentenced her guards to send you to the dungeon immediately
i was actually at this live show!!! you captured justins distraught so perfectly lol - also i love how expressive and creative this whole animatic is :)))
We watch a lot of MBMBAM animatics, and we definitely have standards for animation quality. Your animation is fantastic! We will definitely be following you. Please do more!!
Justin: NO NO PLEASE I CAN'T DO THIS Travis: okay you don’t have to do it Also Justin: excuse me, it's my bit. I will do it. Also Justin, again: Okay, I don’t wanna do it please don’t make me do it
this is so amazing. the camera angles and movements, the different energies of the brothers, the reflecting lights in Travis' and Griffin's glasses, Justin's dissolution - watched this three times by now and i think i'll return for a few times more
Nice animation, you managed to capture the brothers pretty well. With that being said, while I get it's a bit, I just don't understand what the big fucking deal is.
This animation was fantastic. Honestly, this was one of MBMBAM's bits that I never "got". I refuse to use facebook, twitter, etc. unless forced to so I don't understand what it means or why anyone would care if someone posts stuff like this (especially a comedian). I still enjoy the bit as the crowd always seems to enjoy it.
People who usually post these kinds of memes unironically are the sort of people with whom someone like the McElboys would be embarrassed to be associated: typically very out-of-touch, conservative boomers with questionable views on things like vaccines.
Dunno.... where the apparent reply to this went that hardyworld mentioned, but personally I'd assume it's because he's afraid it would imply that he's hella depressed to random older relatives and other facebook sorts? Might alarm the older aunts and uncles? lmao that's my best guess at least.
It's really as simple as things like this are a very stereotypical post on Facebook made primarily by a lot of older people who don't really get the internet. It's the kind of thing you would see a grandmother or some mom who thinks she's trendy would be posting on their page. Because it's low effort, not necessarily relevant, and also is usually a very low-resolution picture because they've copied and saved it multiple times and it's just an absolute mess. So for someone like this Trio, who try to stay up-to-date with internet culture, this will seem very out of touch
CHRIST, Justin! It's too easy and the stakes are too high. Why did you do this, Justin? Beautiful kicking and whining about what he so willingly walked into. You picked your spots for motion very well. EDIT: I bet I'm making the timeline spike over that whiny bit 1:13.
This is incredible. Love the answer being revealed before he screams and throws it down and the movement with the complex character designs! Thanks for making and posting this!
this was so awesome! i liked it so much! all the expressions were so good. and i loved how travis's glasses looked. and justin's hair was so cute also -- after looking at the other comments i realized that this was so good that i honestly didnt even consider how hard this would be to actually do. i was so involved in your art and enjoyed it so much that i didnt even consider. but yes i am glad other people have been celebrating you too because well i guess i did say this up front and i mean it all over again, this is so awesome
DUDE THE ONE FROM THE RECENT MINNEAPOLIS SHOW WAS BATSHIT TO SEE LIVE, WHEN GRIFFIN GOT JUSTINS HE DID A LAP AROUND THE STAGE AND THEN HAD THE MOST SOLID VICTORY HUG IVE EVER WITNESSED WITH TRAVIS WHILE JUSTIN HAS JUST COMPLETELY WALKED OFF STAGE.
That means a lot, thanks so much!! Though, I'd still love to see your take on it! I had to cut out a lot of fun audio to get it to a length I could manage, haha
