Honestly, as was I. Got it second hand with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised! I recently uploaded another cold start if you’d like to hear it as it stands.
@@nattyfixit2898 understandable. I have a J-pipe on my setup to keep from any drone and I love it. It’s not too loud and with my cold air intake the truck really screams. I got mine tuned a few weeks ago too. I highly recommend the Kd max pro flex fuel tune with the aport throttle option (The truck reads what octane you put in it) On 93 I’ve got the thing chirping 33x12.50s with stock gearing and traction control on! It really transformed the truck. Better shifting and power, higher redline, overall just feels like a totally different truck!
In Wisconsin the MBRP systems rust out in 6 months. Loved the sound until the death rattle appeared from the inside of the muffler rotting out. Hope you have better luck. I replaced mine twice and then gave up.
@@nattyfixit2898 That was with the stainless. After the first 6 months it was just the rattling around from pieces rotting out internally. They were good about it and sent a replacement muffler (they don’t cover “corrosion”) Then it happened to the 2nd muffler after about another 7 or 8 months only this time I found holes around the factory welded on clamps. Like I said, loved the sound and appreciated them replacing the first one, but Wisconsin is nasty so they wouldn’t hold up. (I have a pay per month subscription wash that I can literally go through 20 times a day if I’d like so the truck was washed religiously) In hindsight I should have tried coating everything with Fluid Film to slow it down. Sounds nice! But bro how are you getting 18mpg I’m getting 12mpg I have a leveled Tacoma SR5 with LT285/70/17 BFG KM3 10ply tires might be cause I have a heavy foot heavy on the pedal
