As an ESTP, the trick for using Ni is to let it play out in the background, then be ready to grasp it when it delivers connections or creativity. I never like "brainstorming" to me it's like trying to force creativity. I let the data process in the background, then let solutions come to me. Those nuggets are often golden.
That's cool dude. I am sure you have very strong reasoning. I have to find a place to throw Ne on like math or mbti, or anything abstract or else I get bored. For some reason Ne doms find pleasure ignoring things in front of their face that they should be accountable to. Because of my intuition I have a very foggy idea of reality and I understand the things in life that don't matter, but luckily I can make a career out of math doing research, but I would be helpless otherwise if it was the 1800's and I was a poor farm boy. I think an Se user would be a farmer just like me, but not poor and wouldn't complain and actually get things done and move the economy forward haha. Sensors truthfully and stereotypically are much more disciplined, I think.
That is exactly how my process works as an ENTP, I am literally always writing shit down that just magically appears in my mind about problems and they are ALWAYS helpful these little NI nuggets, i never used to pay much attention to them regrettably.
@@justina2320 Same! If only I had known this sooner. I am an ISFP previously mis-typed as an ENFP for about 3-4 years. I write poetry as a hobby, and it really hit me hard when I realised that I have FEEL and EXPERIENCE first before I write stuff. And always, my writing contains some sensual descriptions which would otherwise be absent if I were actually an ENFP. I was so stubborn and thought I knew everything about myself.
So... Se is like taking videos and Ni is like watching videos that Se has taken (and making predictions how next film would look like) and Si is like taking still shots and Ne is like browsing photo albums of Si photos? No wonder Ne users eyes roll so much ;)
It's incredible to see RU-vid being used to share independent study and theories. You are certainly trailblazing a lot of new territory and ideas here in a very young psychological science! As socionics becomes more popular, perhaps your work will be studied in the future no differently than traditional peer-reviewed work.
Thanks for this video! I relate the most to the Se-Ni axis. The analogy was really useful. I was really frustrated because most videos just give a description about the cognitive functions without giving a concrete example of how they are used.
I used to think I was ENFP Ne-Si, but it appears I am ESFP Se-Ni because I look more at contextual information in the moment. I have learned how to think more hypothetically, but I am naturally more focused on concrete factors that may not be considered in a conceptual question. I do think my Ni is quite developed though, because I can think abstractly and make intuitive predictions that usually come true.
Thank you for this video--it was so accurately and beautifully done!! The images and graphs were extremely helpful : ) It's so hard for me to wrap my mind around NE/SI and this really helped. I will definitely be sharing it with family: my husband first, who's an INFP.
Honestly the first video which I actually understood and learned something from I am now 100% sure I have Se Ni in my function stack and Im very thankful
The way the frickin Ne mind works though... it’s hella funny XD My ENFP friend keeps spouting ideas and associations and I’m often like “uhh wow how the heck did you even come to these conclusions”
omg this makes so much sense now, especially Ne, like sometimes I'm literally staring at a question or in a situation or smth and I'll literally not know what to say because there's just too many ways to interpret it and they're all equally likely imo and then other people are like "it's obviously this one??" and I'm like "HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU F**KING WIZARD??"
I have watched many of your vids and learned so much. Thank you for them! I’m just wondering if you plan to do more of the functions in each spot series? I looked through your channel but couldn’t find one for Ne and a couple others. -INFP
I want to use both because they’re both very useful to me. Though I’m an Ni-Se user, I wish I could spout out as many creative ideas with the power of Ne-Si.
Great video! One question though: do sensory experiences not trigger memories or associations in Se-users PERIOD, or just not most of the time? I ask because the Se and Ni stuff seemed very familiar to me, while the Si and Ne stuff seemed very novel, but sensations do sometimes spontaneously trigger memories or associations for me. Not most of the time, but occasionally.
INFP: When Alex and I are discussing a concept, she usually drills deeper into the concept with Ni, supported by past Se examples that are related on a physical or experiential level. Since the connection is evident, I hesitate to call them associations. My Si tends to make personal and symbolic associations, such that the connection doesn't make sense to others (unless I explain it), leading my Ne to veer away from the original concept into new concepts. Hope this answers your question :)
Me, an INFP: "This is getting boring, what if a horde of zombies busted down the doors? What if I sacrificed myself so my date could escape? Considering I'm already in love with this woman, my last moments staring into her eyes before the zombies started taking me would be so poetic...I wonder what I'm gonna do for my novel I'm writing? Should I incorporate that? Man, I'd make a great writer. I'd be the next George R R Martin! But I can finish anything, I get too bored, sometimes! Art? No, I get too impatient, plus it dosen't feel right guy, exploiting my talents for money. I guess I'll di-" My date: Have you even been listening? Me: ...(*casually slithers under the table out of embarrassment*)
So, if I see an image of a man and a girl eating in a restaurant, and my thought process is: "they may be father and daugther, and they are eating out because it may be an special ocasion, probably her birthday, but the mom is not there so maybe the girl doesn't have a mom or they may be divorced" is that Ne/Si or Se/Ni?
As a high Ne user, Ni seems kind of weird...but I think I'm seeing it now in terms of two of the big quantum theories. The Copenhagen interpretation seems like it could be the Ni version: waveform collapse into one path whereby the other possibilities cease to exist once an observation is made. In contrast Ne strikes me as the Many-Worlds interpretation, whereby the other possibilities exist elsewhere once an observation is made, even though one observation constitutes YOUR current reality. Needless to say I have always found the Copenhagen interpretation annoying on a personal level. XD Does this sound at all like a useful metaphor? --INFP
I've always considered myself as an ENFP, but I must say I do share many of the qualities of Se. I will be the first to respond to a phone ringing (even though I'm easily startled) and am generally more in the moment when i choose to be. I am observant of reality as it happens, while one of my friends will be completely unaware and preocuppied with her own thoughts and goals, focusing more on the end-result I guess than just enjoying the physical environment of a place, which I am able to do quite naturally. Yet I do have moments of conceptual lala land and can get quite wrapped up in my own imagination and philosophical pondering about the meaning of life, being more drawn to fiction and fantasy-based movies. Does this make me an Se-Ni/Ni-Se user? Because I can also relate to the Si-Ne axis somewhat, having a very vivid imagination and an ability to recall past events that made me laugh, or is there less of a connection between recalling memories and Si? Just curious and intrigued.
noticing what's happeing isn't really the quality of Se, it's more Si, honing in to details and what's different from one another. Se user and Ne dominant can be quite adsent minded and forgetful, actually.
Wow! Like Elvin bread in Lord of the Rings- packed with enough informational nutrition for days of digestion! Thanks for creating this excellent product. Can you provide the link for the comparable Judging axes description video if it’s available?
INFP: Wow thanks! Unfortunately that's... still coming. The pace of our video releases slowed down a lot after I had to get a job. We'll try our best though!
this video is really good. The examples are very helpful. I just would recomend talking slower, sometimes it's dificult to keep up. =) but my congratilations for a video with examples instead of a very conceptual explanation
I liked you video alot and it helped me understand more but i still dont know which ones i use. For example im given a challenging math problem. Usually my first instinct after attempt is to look at the problem and compare it to the problems we did during the lectures or other examples until i find the equation or steps that fit the problem. While i do the problem i think about how we did this before in class and what the problem is asking for. I predict several outcomes that might work for the problem and go with the one that seems right.im bad at brainstorming on the fly and get ideas from nowhere but think about 100 completely different things a minute. but make connections with the past and how i felt. Idk which one i use someone plz help me
Ahhh. So Se-Ni is like wine tasters or art critics. Me as an Ne-InferiorSi user: "how can they project such nonsense onto a simple taste or appearance?"
im se ni lol lemme give u a description. hmm this orange juice is sour and jumps right on your tongue, overwhelming you with its taste. its as if it has the power of bitterness but presents itself explosively
i dont care about fashion therefore when i see a red dress nothing goes into my mind im too busy being anxious and overthinking something more important thats somewhere else
