Kershaw... I had an old folder, Chinese made maybe 20 years ago, it's been long discontinued. Heavy, the pivot was crap, blade way off-center, I just kept it on my desk for opening letters and packages. A couple of months ago I just chucked it the trash (literally, because nobody would be dumb enough to buy it) to make room for better knives. I do have a Leek, which I really do love, I'll hang onto that. I also had a set of Shun kitchen knives (KAI, same parent company) and they had the thinnest tang and were VG-10 so when I dropped one on the floor one day the blade just snapped off. They did replace it, though the line I had was discontinued, so now I had a mismatched set. My daughter-in-law has them now, I got some industrial grade German high carbon steel blades instead, for much cheaper, and full tang. So maybe Kershaw's turned the corner, but they touched me in bad places and I still don't trust them. 😂

Ya a lot has changed in 20 years. A USA Kershaw Launch 16 is quite a bit different than a Chinese Kershaw from 2 decades ago. You should give then a shot 👍
