He's one of the best speakers I've ever heard. So eloquent, articulate, profound and relevant. His work is also incredibly inspirational. What a great example of advancing the culture. Thank you for your work, Mr.Marshall.
Love this talk! My husband and I saw the exhibit at the Met Breuer yesterday afternoon, our hearts and minds were blown wide open. We came home and listened to this awesome talk and were further inspired. Thank You Kerry James Marshall. You are a true inspiration, educator, trail blazer, historian, a true Artist. Just amazing.. my name is Tamika Michelle Newell.. a visual artist.. in this season of my life WHEN he MADE THIS SPEACH.. I WAS .. on the Greyhound bus.. he spoke the phrase Prince.. was Dead.. I remember I was at a Greyhound station in shock.. like I think the rest of the world was.. but I was up rooting from las Vegas... going back to NJ practicing my photography .. 2 years later I had capture a wall mural .. that has me stunt.. that Kerry James Marshall Created in New York transportation center.. what a view.. that stood on that wall.. located near the entrance of the New York transportation center . I started to do my research on the artist.. who work have capture my heart.... today a lot people ask me about this piece.. I've enjoyed his work.. the history behind this brilliant talented artist.. I am great ful for his journey that he has share with us all !
