McAllen ISD celebrated the graduations of the Class of 2024 in a series of ceremonies held June 3-6, 2024 at the McAllen Convention Center.
Here the students' own words as they start a new chapter in their lives. About 1,500 students graduated from Achieve Early College High, McAllen High, Memorial High and James "Nikki" Rowe High. There was also a celebration for students who attended Lamar Academy. The event was not without a bittersweet moment as the video includes a tribute to McAllen High's Moira Arney (3:21 on the timeline) who passed away in 2021. She would have graduated in 2024.
McAllen ISD prides itself on preparing students to go out into the world to accomplish their dreams. Now, these graduates will go into the workforce, higher education or the military but they will always have the same roots from McAllen ISD.
