Love your content and passion for movies, something that we have in common. After you showed the Pursued title, I googled Olive Films and found that they have closed their doors. So sad! All three of the movies you showed look like definite pickups at the next Barnes and Noble Criterion half price sale. I've watched a number of your videos and I'm amazed by the sheer number of titles that you accrue weekly. I don't think there are enough hours in the year for you to view them all. But I'm sure you give it your best effort. Cheers!

Yes, very sad about olive - especially when they were making their nice collectors editions near the end. Very nice discs of films like PURSUED, JOHNNY GUITAR, HIGH NOON, A NEW LEAF. Thanks for watching btw, I do appreciate it. My content is not preferred by the RU-vid algorithm (I’ve seen many younger physical media channels grow more quickly by gaming the system with “best (genre type) videos” which the algorithm seems to love, but my channel has stagnated a bit in terms of growth so I do appreciate the views. I do get a lot of discs coming in. It is basically my only hobby so any disposable income I have goes to it. You are correct though - it would be difficult for me to watch all of it. Believe it or not I’m trying to scale back. Whereas I often felt compelled to keep up with certain labels releases, I’ve tried to make a vow to myself that I’m fine buying mediocre films just to have them. Trying to stick with stuff I love for the most part. Anyway, thx again!

"I got poetry in me." Love McCabe & Mrs Miller, and I'm a huge fan of Vilmos Zsigmond. I find it interesting that Gordon Willis earned the moniker of The Prince of Darkness when Vilmos was literally reducing the film's ability to absorb light with his flashing technique. Love Mr Willis, but I find anything Vilmos did interesting to look at, including Real Genius!

I second the "Where's my Johnny Dangerously bluray" and I'm also not a fan of the poster essay format. I did get the Heroic Trio during the flash sale and am looking forward to checking it out.

Johnny Dangerously being a Fox movie concerns me knowing how little if at all fox films have been licensed since the Disney sale. At least it’s streaming on MAX at the moment Though, that’s something.

@@JustTheDiscs i gave in and bought the DVD not too long ago just to have it. I wish Keaton's Gung Ho would also get a release.
