@@mazzysmusic ok..yea I don't follow him blindly..never liked all the Fireman crap..heck I could do the same thing, he gets away with it cause of who he is...if he was an unknown and auditioning that Fireman stuff for a breakout record deal......I think not;-)..never even cared for Macca 2. Didn't like "New" either. Chaos was all right, and "Egypt not bad...but oh well...he has put out so many beautiful songs, he should be doing other things in the music bidness...oh well what do I know...thanks for the info and unboxing..I envy you!!
Wow, a lot of care taken into how each single was presented with in this limited edition set. Generally I bought the albums with the obligatory 1978 Greatest Hits album on Parlophone/Capitol but enjoyed blasting out Mull Of Kintyre (massive Uk #1), Wonderful Christmas Time, Pipes Of Peace with its moving video, No More Lonely Nights and Once Upon a Time which was the first cd single I ever bought, down at ground level next to the christmas tree as a kid to young adult. Really that's what singles are about, your favourite tracks and often unique b sides like the great Girls School played for the fun of it. Great video with some great memories. Specially pressed McCartney foam. LOL. Love it. Would love to have this set but I just can't afford it. Would love to to see this released as a cd boxed set where the songs are compiled on to 6-8 cd's and packaged with the book but priced a bit more reasonably at $200 or so.... Never heard of the test pressing track, "Blind of an Eye"????
I’m glad to see you toss out the foam inserts. I’m still burned by the foam insert rot that destroyed my Solti Siegfried cd set. Maybe 2022 McCartney foam doesn’t rot. Thanks for another great video.

One guy from Germany has it for $237,000 Cdn dollars with €1,510.00 + €164,332.90 shipping. Even the lower priced ones are being greedy. Not surprised. The other thing is, If they made 3000 copies only and one or two or five have pressing issues...skips...warps etc....what happens then??
I remember when a lot of people were criticising Paul for going all classical and releasing classical albums and saying he doesn't care about rock n' roll and pop anymore, well they were here in Britain anyway and he responded by releasing the rock n' roll covers album Run Devil Run, which is a pretty good covers album, good rocking album.

“Once upon a long ago” was a top 10 U.K. single but was not in a Warren Beatty movie. It was considered for the Princess Bride movie but not used. You might have been thinking of “Did we meet somewhere before” which Paul wrote for Heaven Can Wait starring Beatty. But it wasn’t used in the Final cut of the film. It was used briefly in the Ramones movie Rock n Roll High School. Thanks for the unboxing video. I really your channel. I’m glad my wife got this box for me for Christmas as it’s now on eBay for well over $1000!
Hey Mazzy, the "Party Party" single-sided 45 was originally included in the limited edition "Flowers In The Dirt" Tour pack LP. I understand the single included in the box is also one-sided which accounts for the odd number of tracks. Nice looking box. Thanks for the unboxing video. Take care mate. Cheers.

Well, that’s nuts. I used to work in printing, and you were in that world. Maybe you know how they redid the covers. Did they keep the original film archived and strip it to make new printing plates? I can’t imagine. There’s so much of it. It had to have been printed all over the world when these first came out. Did they shoot the original covers and make film or plates from camera? The mind boggles. Maybe the book says.
What an impressive Box set…mind blowing to watch you present so many amazing songs and the amount of incredible Music the man has given …after being in the freaking Beatles!!! And to think I have the Wings Greatest on Vinyl 😅 ya, there is so much more to this incredible artist!!!
Suzy & the Red Stripes sighting? I thought at the beginning of the video, you had two 45s in your hand, and the one facing the camera was an orange Epic sleeve. Just like the one on my Seaside Woman 45. I agree. That one should be in the 80 Box... But is it a Linda single? She wrote it, Paul produced. The flip side B-Side to Seaside is the perfect companion to C-Moon.
Found myself more engaged by the photography and type treatments on the sleeves . Nicely executed pkg. Big question , will you now sit down and listen to any of these or was this more a completist collector buy? Rock on Maz.

My friend Coffee Dave owned one which I sold for him last January for $9500. It’s overkill a waste with the single sided 45 rpm. I thought it sound good but too bright. So no I’ve never wanted to own it myself.
We All Stand Together has long been a (not so) guilty pleasure of mine, and I’ll always have a soft spot for Mull of Kintyre as I love bagpipes in pop songs and it’s also an unofficial anthem for my soccer team Nottingham Forest. My favourite Macca singles from the entire box are Give Ireland Back and Young Boy
They were allowing sales of this to 2 per person on a limited run of 3000...Should have limited purchase to one per person and give more people a chance to get it. At $1,300 - $1,500 it's now unattainable. At least for me. Oh well.
@@mazzysmusic That sounds about right. I was too late by the time I heard about it. I'm used to the Dead's annual box sets being limited, but not so limited they sell out in 2 weeks. More like 6 months, often even longer.
He never really answered his own question as to why he got the box set after presenting his vast pre-existing 7" collection, which is what I was looking forward to as I also fell victim to buying the box set while already having a pretty good 7" collection.
@@mazzysmusic I have pretty much one of every single..missing only about a half dozen... , but not many country variants. I'm still waiting for my box. Estimated delivery late next week. I love living in Canada.. always the last to the party for releases.
@@timbrownrigg5217 I always have a difficult time sending and receiving mail from Canada. Was told mail service was fine until they went private then everything got mucked up.

Yesterday is credited by both And appeared on the BEATLES help album. MAYBE YOU DIDN'T GET THE MEMO BUT I'VE HERE SAID THAT MANY TIMES BEFORE...., I also said that in his entire solo career he maybe wrote 3 quality songs and that dispite what Paul thought he was not Elvis Presley, not a Great solo artist.......The Beatles were a vocal GROUP as MUCH as a band thus IN that light it didnt matter that George couldnt play guitar like Eric Clapton or that musically there were better players,, You can stick all the BETTER plsyers in the world together and still not get the Beatles or even a single hit record , they WERE a band idiot...
@@bobbybrooks4826 Paul McCartney wrote and performed Yesterday unassisted by John Lennon. The fact that they agreed to share songwriting credit does not change that fact. Lennon would be the first to agree. How about Blackbird? How about I Lost My Little Girl? How about Your Mother Should Know (which Lennon specifically disavowed as a ‘granny song’)? I could go on but the list of defacto McCartney solo efforts on Beatles albums is long. And yes, Lennon wrote many Beatles songs independent of Paul (although far less often performed them without Paul’s accompaniment or arranging help). So, in summary, you are talking nonsense.
