I am vaguely disappointed that when the question of O'D telling others what Anna's spells up came up, no one offered to pay the spice for the information.

Oh wow, right off the bat Tom cracking me up. “Not if I can help it”. He is the quiet king of all MCDM board games.

Just noticed at the beginning of part 3 that Tom's hair has slowly become more and more like Johnny Bravo over these games. I cannot unsee this now

I am dying for another round of Dune folks! I love your group playing it and I've watched the four matches again and again. Great game and great group of friends! I want to offer an idea to make the bidding on dune go faster but remain competitive. Matt's idea for an initial blind bid is great. The next step should be to allow the second highest bidder to initiate the bidding war (complete with paying atreides to see the card). Rinse and repeat. Look forward to everything you folks do! Be safe out there. P.S. because of your videos, I had to buy Dune for myself, even if I can never gather enough players :)

this world seems so distant. on the day if upload I was saying goodbye to my highschool color guard team for what we thought would be a month. on the 15th, all of school was henceforth online, then I graduated. spent a year indoors only seeing friends twice after long quarantines to ensure no transmission. I sent my first 4 semesters of college online, found Matt's videos and they had an outsized impact on me (especially the ones about compassion and kindness) and I've watched most things that have come out of MCDM as I burnt through my seemingly endlessly free time. I just came out of quarantine vaccinated and an entirely different person than I was in highschool when this all started. then I got recommended this the first Talisman episode and it's honestly just trippy to hear and see these folks talk about covid in it's early days, especially at the beginning of this video

This game took 9 hours of play over 3 weeks to finish. Crazy.

Over the past year, I have discovered the MCDM RU-vid clips and they helped a very long and, not very social year. Loved them! Great bunch of people and great story lines (on the chain episodes). I found an aged, but near perfect 2nd edition of talisman for a steal! I noticed half the characters you use aren't in the original box. Did you guys use expansions with this? You did mention something, regarding the ending cards. But not where they came from. Any help would be great to broaden this game. Keep up the great work guys! 👍 🤙

Just for the future... encounters between players in inner region my occur only on the Plain of Peril ant the Valley of Fire... and Crown of Command ofc.

Years late, and just discovered this. Man, why were they not combining monsters' craft or strength if multiple were drawn? Craft 3 ghost and craft 4 hag? You gotta fight both at the same time as a craft 7 fight.

After OD getting stuck on the warewolf I find this end so satisfying!

Although I'll miss the old art, I do have Kingdom Hearts Talisman out from my library. I think my wife will get a kick out of it while we're socially distancing.

I have Talisman 4th Edition with the expansions. I call it the game that hates me. haha

Thanks for doing this, I used to think I wanted this game but after watching over 6 hours of video(I fast forwarded a lot) I am now confident I don't want to play this game.

Well, you guys keep saying that the game took too long, but it was actually very entertaining to watch. Have a rest and play again soon!

If not updated in this edition (After FFG ed) or a house rule, Spell of Command affects everyone each round..

Great to see this being played. There should be waaaaay more adventure cards if they have the expansions. With those in play a lot more may have happened and potentially the game would be quicker. Either way, you never have a 'quick game of Talisman'. A friend of mine once played a game that lasted 4 and half days. But, compared to some modern, expensive games at least with Talisman you get a lot more hours and variety of play :D

I'm so happy I got to see this game in action before ever making the error of playing it.

Nah, don't like how you guys forced Raiders on the Prophetess. Not a 'friendly' game. Yeh he should have read the card, but the description is unambiguous. Everyone who's played Talisman before knows this... Boo.

Would love to see more livestreams! Hope y'all get a chance to get back together and play again, or play online. I'm also interested to see some sandboxy games like firefly or merchant and marauders

I suppose some else has mentioned this, but I may as well mention it. In the future after a long break and you want another bash at it with a different skin then play Relic. Love the series, brings back a lot of awesome memories.

How about some online board games guys! Lords of Waterdeep!?

What a glorious ending to this magnificent trilogy. The prophetess is indeed terribly powerful, but let us remember that Colville’s Chaos Warrior had a magic wand of unlimited spells that paved a highway to the Plane of Peril, until his unfortunate toad incident involving an evil toad. Tom also had unlimited spells to contest the Prophetess’s magic as well. Plus O’D deserved the win after making it all the way to the Plane of Peril a second time. My only regret is that no one fought the demon while its craft was doubled. Truly a glorious game, and easily the best talisman stream in the world.

The 3 colleges we have where i live in Michigan are all shut down and they are talking about shutting down literally everything businesses and not letting anyone leaving their homes

You guys could definitely play codenames over skype... Also after being in a room together, meeting in a room together isn't really any more of a risk, right?

This was a fantastic presentation of a delightful game. As you said, a perfectly absurd demonstration of Talisman. I appreciated seeing how a combined "exp" system works towards leveling up. It is much cleaner and more efficient than the older method of trophy keeping. You guys reasoned yourselves into gaining exp from non-enemy-card monster fights (like the Forest/Crags fights), which I also liked, as making the game go faster really is a good thing. If you guys did try to play again, you could lower the required exp so level-ups happen more frequently. You seemed to be playing the 2nd edition board with the Adventure expansion and a rule book from neither one of those. Hehe. Hard to know what to do, sometimes (like how there are rules that are specific to the inner region). Thank you for the sweet nostalgia.

Man! I know why I haven't played Talisman in about a decade now... ^ ^

Spoiler comment for the ending! . . . . . . . . An epic duel between the prophetess and the sorceress where the prophetess just repeatably bashes the sorceress over the head with pure brawn. LOL

This looks like a fun game. But a 10.5 hour game?...

That bit around 28 minutes in is why I love OD on these board game streams. "Nah I just wanna have fun." The sheer randomness and chaos he sows into the game because he's not necessarily going for the throat in cold, logical fashions really does make everything from Dune to Talisman come alive.
