They changed something in their ice cream ingredients last year, and it now tastes like moldy cucumbers, for lack of a better word. I get very sick and have an allergic reaction to their ice cream. Not to mention that a small fries order is $4 after tax. $4 can feed my motorcycle enough gas for 60 miles. I'll take the bike and go somewhere decent.

The McDonalds in our area installed huge tethered balloons from the roof last Saturday with flags all over them. They also installed "OPEN FOR BUSINESS" in the front window. How bizarre! My first thought was that they are hurting financially.

agreed. the burgers they sell aren't even burgers at this point, mainly bread with salad and if you are lucky you'll taste a bit of the burger. i could get far more meat making my own burger.. heck, even a basic sandwich with lunchmeat has more meat than mcdonald's burgers.

We went to McDonalds recently. The food has become inedible, very high priced and it takes MORE TIME to get your meal. This is Last time we will visit McDonalds. When we normally travel we prepare homemade sandwiches, fruits and vegetables. Huge savings and we are NOT eating MYSTERY INGREDIANTS🤪

I agree with everything you said, but I'm not sure what to think. I think McDonald's is struggling because of their business model, crappy service, crappy food, expensive, and stomach issues. I don't think cost is the problem? Every time I go to Chick-Fil-A it's crowded. Chick-Fil-A is not cheap. They have plenty of employees working, great service and in my opinion tastes good. Clearly people can "afford" to eat out... I think they might just be choosing to eat somewhere other than McD's

They are all lying I am 24 have been in the workforce for 7 years...have lived at home the whole time. From age 17 to 19 I was making 11.50 per hour 40hrs per week. Saved enough to by a used car outright and saved enough to by said car 3 times over. My living situation has not changed and now I make $25 per hour and have been unable to save the amount I saved those two years. Only new expenses gad, car insurance and other car maintenance amounting to no more than $5k for all the oil changes and work I’ve had done to it.

I can't figure out why McDonald's has to charge so much. I pay FAR less than what they charge, and I'm not buying my food wholesale and in bulk, like McDonald's does. There's no way my ability to purchase should be better than theirs. As for labor costs, the whole idea of fast food is that the labor is supposed to be minimal and ultra efficient. I think fast food has tied itself to EBT cards, just like college is now tied to loans.

In the case of Micky D’s, most of the reasons that they cannot make money is due to them being mostly a real estate company masquerading as a restaurant. They make most of their money from the franchise agreements they sell to the franchisees that operate the restaurants and must adhere to all of the rules of operations dictated by the MCDONALDS CORPORATION. They have all the control over where the store can be built, how it has to look, what suppliers must be used and so on. It could be argued that the failure of the franchise model could be the McDonald brothers revenge for how they had a great business going on and then their name was swindled from them by Ray Kroc. Just because McDonald's is seeing a drop in sales doesn't necessarily mean that U.S. consumers are out of money. It could also very well be that nobody wants to pay premium prices for sub-par, lousy food. And thanks to McDonald's child-centric focus on being indoor playgrounds for today's out of control feral children, these restaurants certainly do not provide any incentive for the average adult to come to McDonald's for a sit-down meal.

The real problem is when McDonald's and Walmart is out of money OR can't get credit. You know it is coming. It is very hard when your customers have less money--to be able to buy what THEY will spend that money on and you make a profit. You end up making mistakes and have to take a lost. You end up selling with no profit or at a lost. Then you have less cash and can get less credit. If you are a big guy, you can get these venders to buy from you but even IF your product sells--it is really hard for the company to get back all the money they lose back.

How can they be out of money when they have overcharged and profited from consumers for decades? Could it be that their business model is fundamentally flawed? They fail to reinvest in their operations or prepare for challenging economic times. These CEOs seem unconcerned about the risk of their companies collapsing, leaving countless employees without jobs, as they remain focused on preserving their personal wealth. However, these decisions won’t go unnoticed by investors. If multiple large companies continue to fail or seek bailouts instead of working to strengthen their businesses, investors who hold stakes in these firms will likely start applying pressure on the CEOs. They might just begin to demand a shift away from short-term gains and toward sustainable growth strategies, as constant bailouts and bankruptcies jeopardize their long-term financial returns.

when i was a touring musician you could get a Large Sweet tea , 2x Mcdoubles and fries under $5. In MIchigan you could get 50pc chicken Nuggets for $5

Low food quality, over processed, salty. Lost customer service, no face to face interaction. Ice cold hospitality…. That’s why I don’t patronize McDonalds, Burger King or Wendi anymore.

People can afford $5. The REAL issue is that their $5 value menu isn't REALLY a good value. It's more of a taster menu. The quantity of calories & protein is low. People aren't willing to pay $5 for an appetizer.
