Hi Stephen! I applied to a mcdonalds having no experience, I told them I watched your training videos and they were super impressed (that alongside getting my foodhandlers cert too) so I’m 90% gonna get the job, just have a final screening + orientation left. Thank you for doing what you do!!
I applied at maccas and ended up getting hired, this’ll be my first job and watching this has made me feel a lot less jittery for my first shift, cheers 🎉
Good luck , some people think that working at a fast food place isn’t a real job but they should know that without you hard workers that they would probably be starving rn.
you are going into a line of work that is hard and underappreciated. It is tough and thats a good thing, your first job being hard will motivate you to search for better. When you find something that is better you will be more appreciative about it. Learn what is hard and it'll make what is easier so much more enjoyable.
I got hired at McDonald's in Sweden last month and your videos have taught me way more than my boss/coworkers have. I appreciate your time and effort to educate hundreds of thousands of people all around the world
That bubbly sound of a large volume of hot frying oil takes me back to my Swedish grandmother frying turkeys whole. She immigrated to the Catskill mountains in NY back in the 1920's and learned the technique from the "mountain men", as she liked to joke about them. Funny how memories pop up! Thanks, as always, for the video! No clue why, but I'm drawn to these.
I’ve recently had a video of yours recommended to me, the one with you at the cash booth, and I’ve been loving your videos since. There’s something nice and relaxing about seeing you work at your local McDonald’s that I can’t really describe well, but what I can say is that it’s nice seeing what your job is like and how you go about it. Good job man, your videos are very good. I don’t see myself working fast food joints, but I’d love to try and get some part time job somewhere here where I live
I worked at McDonald's for a while when I was younger. I know society sees working at McDonald's as a loser, life failed kinda thing but even now, with my studies over and my true carreer started years ago, the time I spent working at McDonald's still feels like the most fun and gratifying working experience of my life. That said, it mostly had to do with the amazing team I was a part of though. Case to the point, this is super nostalgic to me seing this! It brings back so many memories!
Cheers to not too many hot oil burns! You’re an amazingly safe and cautious chef! It’s glorious to watch you work so precisely and effortlessly, like symphonic movements!🙌 PS tell McDs we need the spicy nuggies full time here in NY 😂
You know, I've watched a few of your videos now and the overall process looks pretty simple, but not easy. Looks like a lot of places where a simple mistake could cause an injury, and it looks like it would be hectic as hell on a busy day. Cool stuff to see the behind the scenes though!
Making me wanna apply to work at a McDonalds lol it def has a lot less stigma than it used to though it 17-20 years ago. The only thing Id hate about McDonald’s is the loud beeping that those machines do. I’m curious what they signify and why they constantly go off
There's a bunch of stuff that beeps for various reasons, mostly its the fryers beeping when food is done and when the oil needs skimming or filtering. If you ever work there you'll be hearing the beeping in your dreams.
This is a great video for McDonald's.. because one thing I can say is I never gotten sick off eating McDonald's..maybe if I ate to much lol but it shows how sanitary the employees are..this is at alot of them
There’s nothing ‘custom’ about it. Every fast food restaurant from McDonald’s to Burger King to Wendy’s all use same equipment. McDonald’s likes to may people there they were ‘first’ when they aren’t. They’re the worst when it comes to food compared to a lot of other places. I worked for McDonald’s for years…all the rumors you’ve heard about ice cream machines, pink slime burgers, fake coffee…true
@@MrFictionalBeing It’s what the burgers were made from, a filler for the Pattie’s. The coffee being ‘fake’ as in advertised as exotic when it was basically domestic like Folgers.
@@MongooseGamingBurrow I don’t doubt the cheapness of the product considering the fast food business but blatantly stating it like that without clarification is a bit misleading
I actually took a look at one of my local McDonald's when I was last there picking something up inside, and I could see a lot of these stations from the counter (personally)?
Started my second day of training, watching these videos really makes me feel less nervous and I would probably make way more mistakes if it weren't for these videos to help out. Edit: Finally finished my third day, I'm feeling confident in myself now. I'm still not perfect at cooking though lol
U should never feel nervous about making mcdonalds its mostly beef and those pattys are frozen as soon as the cow is slaughtered, even if they were served slightly raw it wouldnt kill anyone. Plus they make those pattys paper thin for that exact reason, you can cook them through on one side like a smashed burger. The only thing to be weary of would be chicken nuggets but even those are shipped to the restaraunts half-cooked already
Idk about mcdonalds but at raisin canes our fryers would need to add oil like, 3 times a day. It filters out and you add more every day to keep it full. We had like 20 boxes of oil at all times. Lol.
interesting how you only have 4 fryers there, in my work, we have around 8 + applie pies, so being on that batch for your shift is actually alot of hard work :D keep the vids coming though, very entertaining.
I worked at McD ten years ago. Good times when shift ran with you and you ran with it, where you done everything so fast, that only thing in the end was the satisfaction of your manager, mainly me, how good job I did.
I love nugs.....that just made me crave an order w/sweet n sour sauce....nice indeed. On a side note....cleaning those fryers was a job and a half. do you still use the huge blocks of shortening to refill
Watching this is very familiar and unfamiliar because I work at McDonalds in Australia, and sooooo many things are different, like we dont have to temp the nuggets because they are pre cooked, we dont have huge trays like that for nuggets
Am I the only one who wants both more 20 minute videos to eat lunch and dinner to as well as videos on how they change the oil and such on the fryers 😊
@@backseatgaming9087 I cannot walk into YOUR Canadian McDonald's to order a burger without knowing French first!!!! Da hell's wrong witchu people up there? Imma gonna slappa da snot outta yo face wit da wet spahetti. Mama Mia
