So i don’t work in the kitchen but they want me to learn so this is actually great to learn some before im put in the kitchen. only been there a couple months and I was told im being looked at for crew trainer already.
@@DRAG0N1012it'll still give you the practice, you just gotta remember not all McDonald's locations are the same and some do things differently than others. But, my mom and I recently transferred to a new McDonald's location and they're already training her for grill + shift manager
The McRib lore nobody asked for: It all began in the late 1960s, at a military research center in a little town called Natick, Massachusetts. There, scientists banded together to create restructured meat. For the military, restructured meat quickly became standard fare in MRE packets. For civilians, it soon spread to the fast-food industry. Around 1970, Professor Roger Mandingo of the University of Nebraska tapped into the military’s meat-scrambling technology to create a pork chop-style patty from a mix of pork shoulder and other meat, using a binding agent made from animal protein. Not long after, McDonald’s CEO Ray Kroc turned to René Arend who invented Chicken McNuggets in 1979. The McNuggets were so well received that every franchise wanted them, but there wasn’t a system to supply enough chicken, so he had to come up with something to give the other franchises as a new product. In 1981, after visiting Charleston, South Carolina, and eating a whole lot of barbecue, Arend became fixated on pulled pork sandwiches. So it came about because of the shortage of chickens. It was his inspiration to shape the McRib patty like a slab of ribs, despite the fact that a round patty would have been cheaper to manufacture and serve on standard hamburger buns
So this morning I had an 8-4 shift and they put me on table for breakfast which I had done once before over 4 months ago, well because of your videos I knew what went on everything and was just fine
Im recently divorced, the last thing i said to my ex wife before we went our separate ways for good was "rag out" and she replied "nugs out" because i didnt have it in me to say good bye. Keep doing what you're doing. You never know the impact you have on people
Thank you for sticking with your channel. I know it can feel like you aren’t gaining traction; but you are! What you’re sharing with us is a kind, enjoyable, enthusiastic, skilled and happy place to work. I think that’s a big part of why your videos are so important to all of us: we get to be a part of a workplace; McDonald’s (who knew?!) that we all wish was the way all work places should be. You care and it shows. Thank you for encouraging all of us! ❤
I just want to say I started watching your pov videos 2 years ago & you made McDonalds look so fun so I decided to start working at McDonald’s and my girl left me 😢💔 thanks bud
These videos give me nostalgia for working at McD's. I worked my way up to assistant manager while I was in university, but eventually left as I knew it wasn't my career path. But damn did I meet some cool peeps and have some fun along the way all while learning some valuable skills lol
I find it quite funny to watch Stephen stand around when buns are toasting and there's nothing at that exact moment to do He's like a kid being told to wait, he wants to just get to it lmao

Glad we have McRib season all year long in Germany. After a lot of public requests, McDonalds Germany made the decision a couple of years ago to add the McRib into the regular menu, making it available all year long. I don't know about other parts of the world, but in Germany we even get wet wipes for your hands with the McRib :D
There's roughly 8 McDonald's franchises. In the region that I live in And I've been to 6 out of 8 of them. And each one has either been sold out of the mcrib, meat or out of stock Of the mic rib buns, the first time that it's ever happened like this. Not sure if it's because the demand is SO high this year or if the franchise restaurants are just not ordering enough.😐
Hey Stephen. Have you ever visited McDonald's in other countries? It seems you do many things there differently, than my country, Denmark. And your flurries come in bigger cups too. McFlurry cups in Denmark, is only half as big as the ones you use and is basicly just 3 spoonfulls for me. Considering the price, I always feel ripped off when I buy one.
Man, the grill slips you have are just so insanely long. Ours are about five times shorter. And I´ve had shifts where they actually hit the ground.... Can´t imagine what that would look like in your restaurant.
Dude is an absolute beast. As someone who owns several businesses, I would hire guy in a minute just based on his attention to detail and his ability to multitask.
You’ve done a good thing here! So when Fluffy freaks because you missed a nugget and jumps down some nice 60 year old lady counter person’s throat-maybe think “Hey, these guys are busy?” Um, wife says I sound like a girl….🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is a subjective statement, "too much mayonnaise" all depends on how much you want, if you don't like the amount that you have been getting on it by ordering it regular the last decade then start requesting it with lite mayo or even ask for it without mayo then add your own. You are blaming them for not adhering to your preference when its establish that is how much mayo comes out when they squeeze that thing once.
Это так расслабляет. Чувствуешь, что на самом деле работаешь и делаешь что-то продуктивное, хотя на самом деле сидишь на кресле и смотришь в монитор, ничего не делая.
You're a franchisee now, so as a McDonald's closing manager, I have a question! Why is the triple cheese burger, called a Triple Cheese, if there's only 2 cheese and 3 10-1 patties?
A cheese burger has 1 piece of cheese on it, double cheeseburger has 2, and yet the Triple cheeseburger has 2 and not 3. So your answer it's a cheese burger cause it has cheese. The quarter pounder has cheese, so does the big mac, and they're not cheeseburgers.
I’ve noticed you have to manually rip the receipts and that they’re really long… Our McDonald’s have it come out individually and cut with no excess paper, it just ends right after the last text. Y’all planning on getting one? It would make it much faster and efficient for y’all.
Something was up with the printer probably. Used to happen all the time when I worked there right in the middle of a rush like what happened in the video. 😂
@@SILCowboythe grill team used to have headsets and we could hear the grill orders as they were put spoken into the order speaker. We could have those done before the first order taker could input it into the register to have a receipt even printed. This new style McDs is made to do things slower.
@@insideoutsideupsidedown2218 "used to"? Far as I knew our franchise made it seem it was corporate procedure for the initiator to have a headset on all times. Side one would have it set to the first line and side two would have it set to the second lane.
Been missing your vid's for some reason ( RU-vid ) anyway I was all caught up on training ( watched so many I probably could start working there ) unfortunately missing all those vid's for a few months, I'll need to be re-trained- enjoy all of your video's- I have worked in the food industry for over 20 years- 10 in fine dining- 8 at two colleges ( UOP in CA and Weber State in Utah ) 2 years in fast food ( Long John's silver when it was good )
i completely understand why you work the line in this case. I get your meals (not yours, but mcdonalds meals) regularly on the app. for those of your superiors from corporate who would disgregard this as I antipate. the same common denominator is from he-said-she said BS...literally. Then before you know it you are pulling to a parking spot waiting for food that's cold or semi cold. I understand you are a franchise owner and I appreciate the fact that you absolutely get it. This type of service is what creates repeat customers vs going "do I want to deal with wareham mcdonalds today and take a chance"..theres many others as well...but for the most part its all in the ownership. anywho, my rant at 1030pm on a saturday night is just because im hungry...then I see your delivery and as a person in business myself, I get upset I don't have your level of quality control/dedication to make whatever you can make the best to your ability, the best that the concept in general of mcdonalds has to offer. employees are a disaster nowadays, I don't expect nor need a comment on my comment, i don't need a love to it. But seriously...thanks for showing what a brand can be.
Hey stephen u might not respond to this comment and that's fine but I love watching your videos because I am soon going to start working at McDonald's and I was wondering if u got any tips for me
This is cool for grill, but it is nothing like the front experience, customers and managers yelling at you constantly, you bag orders and prepare drinks for drive through and front counter while taking orders on headset, setting trays, and checking bags. If you want a mcdonalds training video its gotta be WAY more than this
So much of this feels so strange, like you're not actually making food. It's an assembly line that you only get to see a small piece done and have to move quickly.
Hey Stephen does McDonald’s have any plans to bring back the signature crafted line it would be cool if they did like every couple months change the burger out with a different one
What shoes do you find the most comfortable for your shift? I am a barista, but my shifts are much shorter than yours, and I struggle with finding comfortable footwear.
Im sick reading that mcdonalds is supposedly renaming themself and offering weird drinks and odd non mcdonalds type food to their new menu soon? Not cool for them to try to fix something that never broke!
Hey Stephen, thanks for another great video question for you what would happen if a machine like your bun toaster died? I know you have lots of redundant equipment on site such as grills and fryers but I wonder what would happen if that bun toaster goes down do you have a spare in the back, just wondering from a curious fan thanks and God bless
