McFail's Cave Nature Preserve is managed by the National Speleological Society (NSS). Visitation requires permission and comes with gear and group size requirements. The cave is closed from October 1 through April 30 to protect hibernating bats. This trip took place in June of 2023 during the Northeastern Regional Association (NRO) of the NSS spring caving event, hosted by the New Jersey Initial Response Team.
