Really hope Mcfarlane does the Arkham Asylum Bane & Scarecrow. I would like to see an Arkham City version of Clayface by Mcfarlane. Without the ice though like the DC Direct version. Plus, Croc fits well with that Borderlands figure on the end with the orange pants. Glad you compare plenty of figures of just about all lines. It really helps.
They need to make it standard that all BAF's should be at least between 10-12 inch figs. Mega figs are 12 which is great, but I hate how small Solomon Grundy BAF turned out, he's so small. In actuality he should be at least a 12 inch fig
Both are winners just wish the paint detail, shackle removal option and headsculpt made it to McFarlane's version. Definitely picking it up still. Great video. 🤙🏻
I mean like the DC Direct looks better and it's attention to detail on the mouth n shackles is great. I just wish those features were similar on the McFarlane figure. That said, ill take a better constructed figure that takes better photos all day.
Great review as always D! :) Was considering getting this McFarlane but he does look really de-saturated compared to the older DC Direct figure. Maybe with a repaint (including his teeth) he might become a default Killer Croc for my collection :) Thanks!
Nice review and this looks really good considering I'm a Arkham nerd and that Killer Croc gave me nightmares in the sewers when I was a kid so thanks for reviewing this for me
I think McFarlane’s looks better, but I prefer the contrasting paint job of the DC direct and the chains. Also a huge downer that the McFarlane version’s mouth doesn’t open! I think if you split the difference between them you’d have the perfect croc. I think the scales / sculpt / proportions of McFarlane look way more realistic.
@@dHuntersReviews I think the scaley skin looks more realistic and overall his proportions seem a bit more convincing. The Direct one looks a little cartoony to me. But it has way better colours and details and that headsculpt is coooollll
I mean, DC Direct did a phenomenal job on that Killer Croc figure, but I'll go with the Mcfarlane version...now let's see if I can find this figure🤔. Great review as always...👍
Is there any way to mix and match the best of the two figures? I was wondering if you could use the chest and bottom of McFarlane or maybe even just switch the heads.
Always prefer the Mcfarlane one. Was a memorable moment that made me go holy shit...i.e. when he made his first appearance in Arkham Asylum coming out of the giant elevator surrounded by guards.
Hope your vacation was good. I cannot wait to get this figure in about 3-4 months, yes, that's how slow items come to my home in Regina, Sask., Canada.................
@@dHuntersReviews really? I do hope that it still happens though anyways how did you exactly put the selena Kyle headsculpt onto the gwen stacy body mold I wanna know how you do it please tell me?
nice, got no more space, so just saving for figures which I dont have or badly need an update of..I missed the Mattel MV C&C, so this is a good substitute, size will definitely go well with my DCUC, DC essentials, & MV figures..appreciate the updates on the order.
I loved how scary this version of Killer Croc was in the game but I’m not the biggest fan of him being that huge so I don’t mind him being smaller here like in the animated series where he was basically a crocodile man
I think the dc collectibles one looks better however yeah your point stands one that can actually move makes the McFarlane one special. I’ve got the dc collectibles one but I’ve barely moved it knowing how fragile they are known to be
McFarlane Toys are pretty awesome but they are declining in their original goal as a company.. what I see more of is that they are not adding the right weapons not creating the characters exactly as they appeared in the game or the comic book or movie or whatever the media was.. for example the rest of the chain around his neck that is broken off the way it was in the game like you mentioned.. or the fact that the Red Hood figures don't have any guns the one for the Arkham origins game they're making does not have guns from what I can see at least I think it's from origins I hope they do a bane from the games or both of them would be great origins and asylum.. the lobo figure does not have his traditional gun or his cigar LOL I have a question why is there a hole in the back of the build a BANE figure from last night on earth? .. sincerely the figures are very beautiful one of my favorites is the Batman hell bat suit from Batman and Robin New 52 issue number whatever it was LOL it is a beautiful figure and another example mentioning the billd a bane. His veins should have the green paint on them in his arms just like in the comic book there isn't enough green paint I hate the idea of putting a paintbrush on any of these figures so they are not original but I'm really compelled to duplicate Greg capullo's artwork .. I'm just saying it's little things like that that are so easy for them to do correctly or add they should fire the person reviewing the final say on the figures and I do believe it is Todd who's supposed to be doing that but I think he's really not doing that because I don't know he just seems like he pays more attention to detail than anybody that he could possibly higher with the exception of myself I suppose LOL I did hear that they had a problem with putting guns in as pieces started coming out but they didn't really have a problem giving the joker a gun in a couple of the early figures but now you can't find one they always give him the stupid crowbar. I think everybody here knows what I'm talking about it's just those little things that ruin everything if one little thing is missing it makes the rest of it just not good enough
Warner brothers has a no gun mandate, any officially licensed DC figures are not allowed to have guns. Large hole on Bane is to attach Scarecrow to his back. Check out my review on that Bane.
The McFarlane version looks really solid but has its flaws just as DCD did I’m just sitting here impatiently waiting for a better Arkhamverse Ivy from McFarlane, my girl deserves better than what DCD did aha
Face on McFarlane looks closer to what it was in game. But they really lost opportunity with articulated mouth, very shame. It's probably be the reason why I skip it
He’s a nice regular civilian sized hood for Diamond select I usually use one of the three pulp fiction figures in the Diamond select comparison I like him because he’s just a regular looking dude
@@dHuntersReviews I somehow find the Mcfarlane version more appealing. He has been knocking out of the park with his figures in terms of sculpt and paint apps. Even better than Hasbro's marvel legends and at a great price point too! Hasbro's just overcharges their figures.
@@dHuntersReviews it would have awesome if croc had articulated jaw... Same if man bat 🦇 had that too.. Maybe somehow if that request for more articulated jaws for bigger figures would reach out to Todd. That'd be great.
People say they love it I mix lines It’s important to me to see how things fit in with other things And it’s nice to show people what’s out there To each their own
Jesus loves y’all! God bless y’all! God loves you and is your protector and healer. Praise be to Jesus!!! “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
If Todd would've gVe him a articulated jaw it would've put it over the top but closed it hurts the figure Killer Kroc has to have a open and close mouth or its a maybe
