I ultimately love this box set. I think that Bale should have been the Batman Begins suit and that Affleck should have been the suit from BvS like it is on the card. I'm hoping we see Kilmer again but in the suit from the film's beginning. Kilmer, Clooney and Keaton are the stars of this show, and the redone Pattinson is everything i could have wanted. Unfortunately my Pattinson has a crack in the chin on the face
I'm assuming that they chose the costumes for this set to make the other costumes easier to produce down the road, because Clooney there is rocking like 80% of the tooling to make Kilmer's Panther suit from the first half of the movie. When production realized that Clooney had almost the exact same measurements as Kilmer, they scrapped their plans to make all-new batsuits and just ran fresh ones out of the Forever molds. Both of Clooney's suits were Kilmer costumes with some extra bits glued on or swapped out, so it'd be pretty cheap for future McFarlane to make the other suits. Having said that, the B&R wave he teased showed the same Batman figure as this set, so who knows. Maybe saving the ice suits for a second wave with a Bane BAF instead of Freeze?
Seeing Kilmer and Clooney being the best articulated figures in this set is both surreal and absolutely amazing as a fan of the Schumacher duology. Been waiting yearsssss for this.
There's an irony in it, too, that a lot of these figures can articulate more easily than the actors could in their costumes, given how limited the '90s suits could be due to logistics.
@@Arrowdodger exactly! The 90s movies are like an escalating hill of “how little can a person move in this suit” so having two of the worst moving being represented as so limber just makes it all the better
let’s be honest this set will probably go down as one of the greatest action figures sets ever. It’s absolutely amazing ! Finally a Clooney and kilmer figures in the line is also amazing and they’re crafted magnificently.
This looks like a great set, and the Kilmer and clooney figures look amazing. The Dream would be a Batman Forever Wave with Panther Suit Kilmer, and a Repaint/ReRelease of the Clooney Batman with the Black Suit w/ yellow oval and a new head as OnStar Batman
Great six pack... but I would have personally preferred Val kilmer's Batman in the 'panther' suit and Affleck in his original BvS suit... so they were all wearing their standard suits.
The Keaton, Clooney, and Kilmer figures all should’ve had their heads connect to the torso at the bottom of their necks like the hush release to maintain that film accurate silhouette. The way they did it is a major disappointment in my books, especially Keaton since he’s had more releases to correct it
Until Mcfarlane full on reengineers the hip mechanism I don't think we'll ever get a proper swivel. Jon Kent Superboy, the bicep swivel didn't work. No one has shown me it actually work by swiveling 360 degrees. Not a problem with other figures that have used the body.
Never wanted a Kilmer or Clooney Batman until McFarlane released these. These are all fantastic but Keaton's definitely the best of the bunch. And one of the best things I noticed with the Pattinson head sculpt....no more side eye!! Thank you Todd! I kinda wish they did Batfleck in the BvS suit since we haven't gotten that version but it still looks great. I preordered this set so i'm excited for it!
I unfortunately didn’t have the funds to grab this up. I love the figures. The one thing Todd dropped the ball on was the Bafleck. We need the Befleck grey suit from Batman V Superman. Easily my favorite Batman suit next to Batman 89 and Returns. Dare I say it might have beat them.
Gotta say when I got these figures they were just a must have. But, so far the clooney figure has been leaked to be in a single release in a batman and robin wave with chris o donnel robin, alicia silverstone batgirl, umma thermann poison ivy, and the build a fig might be arnold schwarzenegger mr. freeze.
I don’t understand the neck articulation complaint, people literally complained about the opposite for the sh figuarts Keaton Batman where there were a ton of complaints that he didn’t have neck articulation
I am sure that if they are doing a Batman and Robin wave , Batman Forever and Returns can't be that far ahead. I don't think they can do Nicholson Joker unless they specifically ditch the likeness but then what's the point...
Well but Michael Keaton personally requested the batsuit in the flash movie were to have a not articulation, so yeah id rather have a single sculpt for the head
Know what? Originally I didn´t care for the Batman and Robin movie. I own it on DVD because it was part of the set and it came with the continuation of the Special Features. That´s the only reason I own it on DVD. On BD I didn´t care for it. On BD I own of course the first 2 Burton movies and FOREVER since, besides its flaws, I still think its worth it. So to me that was going to be it. ...that was until certain recent movie decided to make BATMAN AND ROBIN canon. So I will be getting it on BD to add it to my collection. PS And yes, I do own JONAH HEX because, believe it or not, I think its an OK movie.
This is really very cool set. The figures proportions and paint is spot on, and the bat signal (s) is the icing on the cake. Excellent. Too bad I can't afford it 😭
Strange comment you had on the trading cards although they look really appealing. The art style is similar to the concept art used for the movie figures lately so nothing new there. They foil cards are what we are used to with gold label and platinum editions or variants back in the day. Something I've truely missed because I often end up double dipping sorta for new head sculpts or accessories.
Awesome figures! Are the moulds on the figures like bales all the same meaning can I pop the head off of one and switch it with the other and yes I know they’re the exact same head just curious if they change something internally with the action figure or you could pop their heads off and change them?
I wish I got this when I could😅. I wish there was a thigh cut too, but I understand in a sense they don't wanna break up the design of the suit. Especially when there's figures with muscular legs it looks weird with the thigh cut rotated.
I missed out on all the pre-orders that you didn't have to pay for up front and was broke as hell the couple days this was up so I completely missed out on this! I'm really jonesing for that Clooney and kilmer, I could care less about the other figures and batsignal because I got the Amazon batmobile and I've ended up with a few dc collectibles animated series batsignals overthe years!
1. A shame this sold out everywhere. 2. A shame no 7 inch Adam West. While it's great we have the 6 inch line but would have been nice to have him in scale with these guys since there was Batman: The Movie.
