McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Rebirth Superman 

I really like this Superman, although I wished they had just painted the actual sculpted boot tops. I hope Todd continues to use this body and replaces the trunks piece to give us Reborn Superman.

They really should've just painted the boots the same way they painted Bizarro's. Or they could've just done Reborn Superman instead...

Great review as always! That 2nd comparison reminds me that DC Icons had some fantastic sculpts but the scales were way too small. Anyway, I think i'm gonna definitely add this figure to my collection.

I should have jumped on that Action Comics one. Keep waiting for a definitive Superman from McFarland. The Action Comics one is still the best rendition out there. For guys like me that only want 1 Superman. It’s Todd thou. I have faith he at some point will create a one and done catch all Superman. Get us a good Supergirl Todd.

Really hate this suit. Was really regretting not getting the Action 1000 (classic) Superman until you compared them side by side. Like the bigger body on this. If I was a customizer I would customize this one into a classic Supes like you said. Instead I’ll have to wait for the next classic Supes and hope he uses this body. Good review!

Really would love a Superman Reborn figure. Honestly, I really want most of my figures in their Rebirth Costumes, especially Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Martian and Cyborg would be amazing too.

Awesome video man. When bought mine I painted to boots red because I’m not a huge fan with the blue boots. So I made a new 52 Superman

I really hate the way Mcfarlane makes that torso articulation, in their Snyder JL line it kind of looks nice, but in the comic look figures it doesn't

Nice review. I wasn't sure what to expect from this Superman release. I think it's great for fans that miss out wave1 Supes. For me, I might just wait for another version of Superman. Personally can't wait until Todd tackles the Death of Superman 90s era

2:22 They are definitely not the same face sculpt. The face and jaw is wider on the left one. There's also more of a defined right brow line above the nose for the Rebirth one on the left.

I won’t but that Superman Figure Because they used the same head has the first Superman multi-verse figure I got a lot of Superman figures and he’s my number 1 favorite DC superhero.

I swapped the legs from the knees down with the Superman 1000 because the Rebirth one has bigger thighs and the sculpt is the same at the bottom of the knee. (It's molded differently at thr top of the knee.) If you don't mind the thinner legs you can swap the entire legs. I also swapped the capes. WARNING! Removing the cape of Superman rebirth is hard. Removing the cape of Superman 1000 is damn near impossible! You have to get it real hot with water then pull it off. I also cut it with a Xato knife to make it go faster. Once removed you have to cut away ALL of the think part of the inside of the Superman 1000's cape. (And there is a lot.) You have to also thin down the part of the cape that wraps around his neck to make it more pliable. Then glue it down with a flexible clear glue. I suggest Quick Grip. It bonds faster than the 1000 stuff. Once you have it glued around Supes neck properly tape it down where it fits around the neck. How easy it is to glue down depends on how thin you cut down the part of the cape that goes around his neck. Once it is taped down HARD with quick grip put it away for at least 24 hours to let the glue get to maximum strength. After the 24 hours remove the tape and remove any excess rubberized glue with tweezers. BAM! Now you got the almost perfect Superman. To make him 100% perfect you'll need to make the yellow S on the back of the case with a waterside decal.

Great review as always, picked him up the other day. The face paint on mine makes him look kinda sickly from certain angles. Yours is weird too but in a different way lol. I like both bodies as well

We finally get a superman with 2 fists and double jointed elbows yet .... The boots are the most glaring issues..and more blush?

I love mine! The double jointed elbows really give him a major advantage over the AC1000 Superman.

Awesome Superman Rebirth figure but I’m happy with the Classic Superman that McFarland made while back

If this was the second rebirth Superman it would’ve been an automatic purchase. I’ll never understand why they gave him blue boots and though it looked good

If there's any way to swap out the yellow oval bat symbol and replace it with the solid black bat, that Three Jokers Batman could be a dead ringer for the definitive traditional black and grey Batman from McFarlane Toys. Also, the Rebirth Superman looks good as a basis for a classic style design.

The best comic book Superman figure. Followed closely by wave 1 classic McFarlane and DCD Jim Lee Superman in the through the ages pack. Love the suit here. No stupid diapers. I like the shorter cape on Supes. Only thing I’d like better is if the boots were red. No over customization needed to mess it up. But you know Brad lmao

That boot top is... rough, that is not good. Still looks pretty good, I just think I'm satisfied with the Supes I've got, even with its faults.

Can you switch the trunks and lower legs from the first release superman and make a bigger, buffer sups that we all want?

The boots are shocking they should have either done a new part sculpt for lower legs to create the correct boots or just painted the red on the sculpted part like it is with Bizarro however wouldn’t be comic accurate

This is my favorite so far. I hate when superheroes have their underwear on the outside of their pants.

I wish they made a new 52 superman. N52 had some of my favorite designs. I guess this is close enough. But I still want a new 52 batman. And a less stylized rebirth batman

Those rebirth Superman's two fist parts could be also applied for wave 1 original Superman? I always felt sorry that the original Superman didn't have a right fist. If possible, I'd like to apply the two fists of rebirth Superman to the original Superman.

Oh man, he looks decent enough but Mcfarlane keeps making Batman bigger than Superman. There’s too many companies doing better with DC so I don’t want to have multiple versions of McFarlane characters... The newer Batman looks great but I don’t like that he doesn’t scale perfectly with this guy.

I like fists on a figure, but a Superman figure NEEDS a pair of proper flat flying hands.

If I decide to get this version, the awful painted red line above boots is getting removed. I will paint boots a darker glossy shade of blue to give them a polished leather look. Will add a yellow S logo on back of cape & paint belt yellow, leaving diamond buckle red. That will make him my “dress blues” Superman for when he wants to look more formal & less flashy.

Don't like this buck for Superman. It's too simian proportioned, that's why it worked for bizarro or infected Superman. But IMO the AC 1000 is still the superior looking figure.

I hope they make a Reborn Superman, but don't use the arms from this figure. The Reborn suit doesn't have the sleeve cuffs that this Rebirth suit has.

That boot thing is just unacceptable. Let me ask you. If you had to choose between McFarlane’s wave one Superman and this new Rebirth one, which would you pick?

He got the boot rights with Bizarro and this one is just lazy. McFarlane hates Superman and he disrespects the character and the product he makes.
