White symbol on his chest is supposed to be "M" for Malbolgia(dont remember how it is correctly written)-Spawn universe version of the devil-He "BRANDS" his soldiers,Clown has this on his face,that is all I remember from the comics. Love this channel

It's still weird that the best McFarlane Spawn figures aren't in the *actual* Spawn line. I thought this new one was the same sculpt as the first MK one and WB just had some exclusivity rights to that specific mold since it debuted in the MK line... but nope, this is new apparently. So... huh. Nobody understands Todd but Todd.

The idea of a Spawn line not including Spawn because a few thousand people spent a huge amount on a Kickstarter which you can't get anymore is just... weird. It'd be like if Hasbro started a Spider-Man line but didn't include Spider-Man, because they had a $300 Haslab Spider-Man before the line started. Plus... McFarlane *did* make a Spawn for the Spawn line. It was just that bad one with the partial cape and weird proportions, so clearly he's not averse to releasing a Spawn in the line because the Kickstarter one exists.

I really liked that posing session segment in this video, I wouldn't mind seeing more of those in future. That and the cutaway moments in this were hilarious, the Robo at computer and bop-it moments were very funny.

I think he actually works well with Legends and other 1/12 figures as Spawn is actually around 7ft and something like 700lbs because of the suit.

If you’re looking for a boot and gauntletless Spawn you should get one the many version of the Malefik suits they have better joints and have Necroplasm pieces for any other Spawn figure

That weapons pack is awesome. Something I learned about it is that it weirdly kinda *undersells* itself. Like, it says "15+", which isn't technically wrong... because they just didn't tell you how many weapons you're actually getting, which is more than 15. They count the pairs of weapons as one weapon for that count or something. It's just weird. Still love that weapons pack though, and more companies should so stuff like that. Especially when the new ML Hatut Zeraze figures use the same guns that the Hydra troopers were using years ago. Must shop with the same arms dealer.

@@Wortwort-Spooderbat I don't mind them not being extravagantly painted. They're fine for what they are, and at the domestic level, painted weapon handles give me 'Nam flashbacks to all the paint I've seen rub onto hands.

This figure looks sweet. I'm not the BIGGEST Spawn fan, and I personally prefer the more detailed look, so I'll probably stick with that. One thing not a lot of people mention tho, since Spawn is supposed to be what, like 6'11", wouldn't a figure like this actually scale better with 6" figures? Maybe still a TAD too big, but he's certainly too small compared to other 7"!

Yup! Spawn is canonically supposed to be around 7 feet tall so technically, he actually scales better with Marvel Legends than some of the other McFarlane stuff. That being said, you can still just have him be regular adult male height next to the other 7-inch figures and that works too. I feel like Spawn can fit in almost anywhere you want to put him within the 6-7in range

I expect this to be the same height as the previous MK Spawn figure because the latter despite being "7 inch" scales better with 6 inch figures as he is too short for 1/10 scale standards but big enough to fit for 1/12 since Spawn is generally a tall ass dude

Nice! I'm still waiting on mine to show up. I was a few years younger than you in the early nineties so this stuff was speaking right to me. Early on, he discovered the necro powers granted by the suit were finite, and his time expired when they did. So, guns. 🤘 Thanks for the review, my man!

I get my McFarlane toys from his own website whenever I can, for all reasons I avoid the Hasbro website. Price and speed! I'm happy to let a retailer have their cut when the manufacturer is raising prices like that, but I'll send it all to Mr. McFarlane especially since his shipping department is so remarkably fast!

just got mine a couple of days ago! damn it Robo, you are thorough! 😃 you even got the toe under the spike-boot I was super impressed when I saw that the toe bends exactly at the edge of the "traffic cone" cuz that's my favorite part of this whole McFarlane brand (well that and the price) I could say a bit more about the face but you basically nailed it there!

The MK 11 line is under WB which has a NO GUN law for their merchendise. It's why the spawn line is loaded with guns which spawn himself has often used.

I would like McFarlane Toys to make a 6-inch Spawn figure something like Hasbro's Marvel Legends style, it would be nice if it had accessories in its packaging: two interchangeable heads, one of Spawn's head with a mask and the other without a mask, a battle axe, two machine guns, a sword, magical blasts of necroplasm and along with his cape

This Spawn, but especially the Commando Spawn also really needed weapons, like, how do you have a Commando Spawn without at least *a* gun (one that isn't molded into a holster)? Answer to that is probably that ol' WB gun mandate that has effected the DC Multiverse line. For you see, while this is Mortal Kombat and not DC, Mortal Kombat is produced by NetherRealm Studios, which is owned by WB.

Love when you take a look at spawn figures. I have been digging into the spawns universe line A LOT. This spawn looks a bit too "smooth" to me. No other spawn can beat my kickstarter one with a huge cloth cape

Me too, and only because MK toy-lines tend to not last very long. The MK11 line must be selling. Likely due to Spawn and other guest characters/skins getting made into figures. I hope Todd does more actual MK characters too. There's a lot of the roster that we still need.

I think the size scale of spawn is better in 1:12 than 1:10 figure. Coz Spawn height is 6'11 in comics so its more better in Marvel Legends than Mcfarlane Dc. Just for me.

Now if only Todd could make this figure, but give us metal chains, and a wired cloth cape. Oh, and get rid of the gauntlet and big boot on the classic version. I mean this is basic simple stuff here Todd. We'd gladly pay a premium to get the Spawn's we wanted from the get-go with the kickstarter ones. I'm pretty sure Todd is gonna half-ass a hundred more Spawn's and never give us the total package.

6:29 I think that gun is the Hemlok? The stock, iron sights, and rail look like the Hemlok from Titanfall 2, but the rest of it looks like the Hemlok from its spinoff Apex Legends - most likely it's an unlicensed mix between the two, inspired by the games. I think the Hemlok is too similar to this gun for it not to be the reference design.

I am not a Spawn fan but all I know is that this is Todd’s baby so if he goes to making his original spun design hopefully he adds a good plus cloth cape cape not just for him but for his loyal fans.
