These guys were legends. It is sad growing up in Mount Vernon, Ohio, being raised with these guys as legends of country music almost to the level of the Bellamy Brothers, only to realize that most of the world has no clue who they are. Most people are really missing out.

I've liked them since early 80's. My ex was from Marion, Ohio, and turned me on to the group! Hard to believe that the world passed them by, they were definitely good enough for big time. I just hope they had fun doing what they were doing.
Ohh boy, my brother bought the Mc Guffey Lane LP at Peaches and transferred it to cassette. It was a favorite as I was 14-15 years old, helping the family deliver our pizza wholesale goods after our retail store would close for the day in Dublin, Worthington Westerville, Gahanna, New Albany hell all the way to Reynoldsburg, and yeah many, many fine memories many years ago in Ohio to good music.
Looking forward to a great evening under the stars at the Fraze watching McGuffey Lane. Every song has a special memory of growing up in Beavercreek OH.

There is two streets in Columbus Ohio named McGuffy and Lane ave. I have always heard that 2 band members lived on those 2 streets. don't know if its true but it's a good story.
Mark Large , actually, McGuffy lane is named after the street in Athens two of the founding members lived on while going to school at OU, McGuffy lane is down and around the corner from Haydenville just before you get to court street. (mentioned in the song breakaway)
