When he completed his task he gave the book to hafsa, when it was in her possession, a goat came in and eat some of it, so they are lost. In fact. Surah 33 did have 200 verses today it has 73. Anyway, after Abu Bakr, uthman came along, he wanted to compile the same as Abu Bakr, so uthman set about collecting all he could, he ended up with thousands of them, he picked out the verses the ones he wanted and he burned the rest. Then he had copies made and one sent to each of the them 9 provinces along with a man who knew the Quran now compiled. From Here, there have arrived 26 Qurans., all with thousands of variations, the Quran we have today was canonised in 1924, so it's not even 100 yrs old. So maybe a question should be, how can this book be the exact copy of the tablets that are in heaven with Allah. Who gave uthman the right or the or the authority to choose the verses in the Quran, and who gave them to him the right to burn the others. the only verses should be the same as that of the tablets in heaven…… where was allah to make sure he did it right. after all he does decend in the third part of the night,,,, so he could have checked then.!!!
