The tech-centric plot twist is that this is actually a government military industrial experiment using internet-based charisma (cult of personality) and former Project MK Ultra developed techniques to test certain mental tolerances, excitation, allowances etc. in mass and to research group-think in cults/closed group settings.
can we just talk about how there's 24 THOUSAND people that willingly got into that facebook group, like..? we all know Russ is completely bonkers, but the fact that he actually has a legitimate cult following is disturbing.
There probably still a bunch in there that are spying and hate him under the guise as being real fans of the manor. But, yes the actually ones that are still there as real fans after all the coverage are probably extremely low iq individuals a few french fries short of a happy meal.
I'm in there fully for shits and giggles, a lot of people are. All you have to do to get in is list your 'favorite horror films' and if they like your taste in films they let you in.
"No one really gets hurt" Pulls finger nails off Stabs you with staples and nails Kicks you Put mousetraps on your fingers Breaks fingers Lets snakes bite people Punches people in the gut Cuts people Pulls people's hair Slaps people Water boards people (Actually can physically hurt you btw) MUCH, MUCH MORE. *X TO DOUBT*
You probably don't really remember much after the test sOoOOOOOoo besides getting a chance to get some kinda Job it's worthless 😐😐 sooooooo that's why School learning is bad most of the time
His exes coming out that he was abusive too just really makes it clear his intentions are way past him trying to be edgy and memorable. Im glad his manor is dying off even in the community he has managed to keep!
Yes, I’m sure that’s an ACTUAL thing. I’m sure he’s DEFINITELY done that….meanwhile, it’s not being talked about everywhere, by everyone whose mission it is to shut this place down 🙄
@forest rin Quote his domestic “victims” for me..find that and tell me about it. Because I looked a while back and saw something vague from one of his ex girlfriends that amounted to nothing but some weird, white girl rambling about nothing. I don’t just hop on a wagon because someone on RU-vid alleges abuse…that’s what literally *everyone* does and it causes problems for people on all sides.
@@manifestgtr i am so confused on why you are on the side of this psycho? because of what he does at his manor it is not too far of a reach to say he could be abusive in relationships. and even if he didnt, he’s clearly still a horrible gross person? not being abusive to his partners in the past doesn’t make him any better? he’s still insane and gross
I heard from someone who claimed to have been through the manor that they had one safeword: the n-word, which they had to say within context. They said it was so Russ could blackmail them into silence and that if they ever said anything about Russ he would threaten to send the video to their friends, family, and employer. Not sure how credible their story is, but I wouldn't put it past Russ to do such a thing. Also, there's a video of Russ admiting that the reason why some sections of McKamey Manor videos are blacked out is because he would be put in jail if he showed it, meaning he KNOWS that what he was doing was illegal, and continued to it anyway.
You left out a bit oops He USED to be a giant icon in the horror community until his haunted manor turned into actual torture. Like itd traumatize people, put them in danger, scar them, sick twisted stuff. He wouldnt even let them quit after a while, no matter how much they begged and pleaded. And then he moved to Tennessee, where they were aggressively strict about not letting any of that happen. There is no manor anymore, its just. Baby stuff. He offered $100,000 to whoever could beat it and forced people to quit halfway through all the time. Not from spooks, russ would literally not allow it. When someone DID beat it, russ kicked them off his property and refused to give the promised reward. The money was probably a large reason for people joining the group. Hes basically just a twisted sadistic old man who gets off on his own elevated ego.
@@sarahbarabe8470 Honestly that's a fight I'd pay to see. Onision was in the military, so as much as I hate him, I'm not sure I'd totally count him out of a fight tbh?
the psychology of this guy is so interesting. It’s totally not a haunted house it’s a torture porn and he’s smart enough to have made it legal somehow. it’s not hard to imagine a haunted house that’s more intense for horror lovers to enjoy, this clearly is with a bad intent
Its interesting to poke around in russes mind. You can tell he’s off, but he masks it so well. He can play a sane person, and when you meet him in person, you barley can tell hes the infamous torturer. He’s good at pretending to be a kind, warm man. But then you get into his history of violence and domestic abuse, and you discover his tactic. Manipulation. You can see how intelligent he is, because hes found loopholes so he can live out his fucked up fetish legally.
eh. I dunno. he clocks to me as a run of the mill sadist, just with less self control and a bigger ego. a lot of people are sadists they just don't actually kidnap people and torture them or something. just live normal lives. his actions tell me he'd be as good in resisting a bucket of ben and jerries on a hot day as he is in not milking every "client" for the last drop of pain he can get.
“a creepy old man running a private game show of dedicated fans competing in challenges” dangelo wallace summarizing squid game a year before it comes out. amazing
What's concerning is that the "challenges" are basically tests. Its training. There's a reason you have to do these challenges in order to enter mckamey manor. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but it reminds me of the whale challenge where the goal was to be able to command someone to kill themselves. It's missing things like sleep deprivation but in terms of context and how cult like this Facebook group is, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a manipulation tactic to get his followers to be okay with whatever he wanted to do to them. I might be blowing it out of proportion, but that group is HUGE red flags for me.
Russ does force them to perform while sleep deprived. After the star shows, but as they get closer to their tour date. During the tour, almost all contestants have been awake for the day and night prior (or longer)
@solivagant it wasnt, the threats of your family or people you love getting killed was fake, but there are alleged deaths of people who died doing the challenge and the creator of it was arrested
This isn’t a haunted house, it’s a torture porn house. Russ McKamey is a complete sadistic psycho and gives all legit Halloween haunts a horrible name.
d'angelo lowkey look like an anime boy that would be called a cinnamon roll and I swear that's a compliment edit: I got called racist wh- edit: Twice. I got called racist _twice._ Because I found someone adorable. God, if you're up there, _please_ burn this stupid Earth to the ground. edit 3: guys
As a genuine, avid fan of horror and haunted mazes/tours/houses/etc... This is not a "haunted house". This is a man using his platform and affinity for building a creepy setting to have strangers engage in his fetishes and become willing torture dolls while toting it as a "hardcore horror experience" so he isn't arrested. This man is not a horror fan, he is a predator and I will die on this hill.
I have two theories as to why Russ has these kinds of fans: 1. It could be an Onision situation where they have been subject to so much of his abuse and manipulation that they genuinely believe that they are worthless without him, therefore going to any possible measures to make sure he gives them his "approval" Or 2. It is made up of people just as, if not more, messed up than he is. Whether they are genuine fans of his "work" or just ex employees that still wish to enact their sick and cruel fantasies out onto innocent people, they think that he was in the right to treat people the way he did. Pretty much a bunch of people just as insane as he is... But this is Facebook, so it's not like you wouldn't find a bunch of these kinds of people anyway WITHOUT joining this group.
I saw someone else’s recent video on him and he apparently said HE HIMSELF NEVER SAID that HE would be doing the teeth pulling himself...implying that he would force the person to inflict that on themselves...🤢🥴🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
It's not just the teeth. The hair or the nails too. A girl had her head fully shaved against her explicit will for example. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Way more messed up stuff happened in that house.
@@its_himm_ basically they had 40 kids from the age of 8-15 dropped off in the middle of nowhere, in a old west town that was abandoned due to being unsustainable without any parents and only minor intervention by the production crew. They had to cook their own food and properly ration it, no electricity, no contact with their families, had to essentially run an economy, could only leave every 5 days at a town meeting. You could JonTrons video about it. Btw they only had one outhouse for a while
i remember that lmao i specifically remember the nerdy boy with glasses and then the two older kids who were like the bullies and way older than everyone else one was brunette and blond
Don't know if you've seen it, but JonTron did a really good video on Kid Nation a few months back, he even interviewed one of the kids (now an adult) from the show!
I really like you. You’re smart, concise, clear and you don’t have a potty mouth. You’re so interesting to listen to. I appreciate your honesty and clarity. Good job!!! Love it.
stop calling this a “haunted house”. its literally a red room/ torture house. he literally records things and live streams them for people across the world. he’s a sick man who found a way to “legally” torture people.
I wonder why people do it. Is it sexual? Is it a kink? It feels BDSM-esque but doesn't seem like they derive sexual pleasure from it. Do they enjoy the trauma? People seem to genuinely like him and want to return. The fact that he has such a cult-like following is alarming. The fact that people are put off by the fact that it is more tame now is also indicative that they must actually derive some pleasure from it. I guess that begs the question; is he taking advantage of mental unwell or sick people for his own gratification or is he giving these people an outlet by providing them a service that they genuinely want? Is it wrong if they want it? I am not justifying what he does but I genuinely wonder about the morality of it all. I think it is interesting to think about. If we can't kink shame people, can we shame anyone involved in this? Is it legal? Can people truly consent to torture? I can't wrap my head around it and I think it can make for an interesting conversation on moral grey areas, ethics and autonomy. Sorry about the rambling word vomit, at least it gets the engagement on the video a bit higher lol.
There's nothing wrong with consenting risk aware adults doing what they want to do. This Russ guy isn't that, at all. These are utter strangers, there's no negotiation, no safe words, and the worst part is that it sounds like there's minors involved. Set this man on fire. The difference between healthy kink and abuse is the former centers on consent and the latter does not. This man should be in prison or a home or something.
@@beraudmusic It is NOT! Waterboarding, making people eat feces, breaking their bones, giving someone a literal heart attack. That is NOT bdsm that is torture.
@@waifuwu8357 people eat feces, waterboard and draw blood during bdsm though. Heart attacks and broken boned arent intentional parts of this, but they can also happen during bdsm
Russ is BEYOND creepy. I’ve been ive been low key obsessed with McKamey Manor for years now. I keep trying to understand what makes people see the videos he films (which we all know have scenes cut out), but STILL go there. There’s almost always a deeper psychological component. I’ve listened to several contestants, his ex wife, his exgf, his past employees, and even his daughter be candid about what REALLY happened. He’s 10 different kinds of sick. ALL those people aren’t lying. It’s just very effed up.
I wonder why it seems like everyone just picked up on this last year, though. I remember hearing about Mckamey Manor at least three years ago, if not longer. Was it the waiver leak that did it? Anyway, glad it is getting widespread attention, now. That man is psychotic
It's scary and awful, but he actually got evicted and he now does it in his front yard somewhere in Tennessee. Basically the entire thing is shut down now. You might mention that in the video but I just turned this on lmao
I have been keeping tabs on this guy and his "tours" for a few years and he is definitely unhinged. Nobody has ever made it past the second stage so far. Why? What happens when you do? The really crazy part is that his waiver is completely legal and binding. As long as your injury can be declared "accidental" or not the result of negligence they are 100% indemnified. He knows exactly what he is doing.
I remember the fake articles written on this. Was said to be the scariest haunted house, and you’d get paid a lot if you can get through it. Then I realized it was a shoddily made haunted house just to physically harm people and get them to leave, but still make money from them.
I am literally entertained by you every day.......like i genuinely get sad when its been over a week and no new video. So im very grateful for your second channel lol. :-) loving the content as always
i watched one of the videos where someone did a tour, and they didn't even get to the manor. But the crazy thing is the signup for this thing quite literally is months long. They make you sign a ten-page legal form. They make sure you're serious and won't change your mind. As creepy as all of it is, and as twisted as it is, Russ encourages everyone who signs up to back out. In the video i watched, the person was interviewed after they quit, and when asked what they expected going in, what was their motivation, they said it was to face previous trauma. Considering how long the signup process is and the interview process, and everything else, you'd think they would have noticed that by then-- but apparently in the video it was news to Russ, and he expressed that this was the exact opposite of what they should have done to face previous trauma-- which, he's not wrong there. If you ever do a follow-up to this video, I would be very interested.
I've heard other youtubers talk about how he switches "personas" and acts reasonable & nice the second someone quits, or while they're doing the signup process. It all sounded really gaslighty, especially with how people seem to go back for another round after being badly traumatized. He knows how to make people think it was their fault for cracking under torture, and walk away remembering how Russ was "so nice." All this is to say, I would be *shocked* if Russ didn't already know that the person was struggling with trauma before signing up.
I- just, what I got recommended your videos when I was binging commentary channels. Little did I know you're actually secretly an art channel. an art channel that has amazing artwork AND good commentary with good humor. That bell has been smacked with the force of the gods, don't you personalize me youtube. This is an ALL notifications hell yeah
Sadism kink. The torture, humiliation, fear, & pain. Running some kind of weird fanclub. This man and his mods are really strange people. Edit: Not going to lie, but with the treating him like he's a celebrity thing, and the paranoia, this sounds cultish.
I was literally just talking about this!!! I had always wanted to see what it’s actually like from an insiders perspective. Love your videos and am honored to become a new subscriber!
it’s really fun to see mckamey manor stuff because mckamey manor is in a neighboring county to me and russ has been working at my walmart since april or so. he was wiping down carts last sunday.
Other haunted houses you can visit during Halloween are so innocent in comparison. I don't even get how it's a haunted house. In reality, it seems as if it's a "hey, do you want to live the Hostel or Saw movies for real" house.
Watching this a year later and realizing this is the haunted house that happened every year down the street from me growing up. I knew it was sketchy, but I didn't know it was this extreme. Or that anyone outside my neighborhood knew about it, lol.
That freak already showed videos about how his "scare actors" pull people's hair out. He also showed how he had someone laying on an ironing board or something and kept putting dirt on her face. Now that he regrets people knowing, he says, "Oh, that's not true. It's all edited for viewers". Yeah right. Too late McKamey, the attendants already spoke up on different youtube channels.
The idea of a sexual sadist like Russ who doesn’t choose to engage in bdsm, or join a kink group with rules and trust, and consent, but instead finds a way to torture people with the most tenuous of consent, and the THINNEST legal line, is so scary. Like sadists are not inherently scary people, but Russ is clearly not interested in some sort of consensual impact play or something, he just wants to loop as many people into his torture scheme, and basically trap them. I remember watching a small documentary about him once and the way he scared and harmed his female neighbor was really horrifying. There’s no trust with Russ, he will trap you in his house and have fun the entire time even if no one involved is okay.
