Mark my words he'll be the best overall dman in this draft. Maybe not in points but just 2 way play, munute eating, clutch moment player like doughty or Keith. Does all the little things you need an elite dman to do for a team to be great
Yeah I think he could be possibly the most impactful defensemen from this draft. man Zeev is smart and has great instincts and good skills to complement.
He’s similar to Zayne Parekh of Saginaw in the OHL. Both are good skaters, neither are really fast but both have great edges and are quick. Both above average IQ. Both are average defensively. Parekh put up sick numbers against 16-20 year olds, Buium put up good numbers against 18-23 year olds. Because they don’t go head to head kind of difficult to compare.
@@plrt6794Buium put up generational numbers as the second youngest player in COLLEGE hockey. I think he’s the highest scoring draft eligible dmen in college history. That’s not just good, it’s elite
Anybody see some Adam fox in him? Fox wasn’t the flashiest but he’s off the charts smart and that’s what I see in ZB. Fox was also drafted in the 3rd round I believe.
He really picks and chooses his times to play offensive, like a little less than Quinn Hughes but a little more effective than Hughes from what I’ve seen. Hughes kinda just circles around and makes a million sharp turns and throws random shots that sometimes go in and sometimes don’t but it’s dangerous which is why he probably scored and assisted so much but Zeev seems a little more precise and predictable which helps his team set up and get open for one-time plays. He really makes the most out of the space he has.
