I don’t want to hear Brazilians or anyone in Torino yap about Douglas Luiz being better than Ghost Face Weston! Weston is clearly 5 steps ahead of him. His experience in the champions and composure is beyond Luiz’s by miles. Enough of Luiz! Guy is trash imo 😮
Though it's true that no one has ever changed the outcome in a match where one of the teams was playing against 2 opponents after the fact, I feel it's necessary to point this out anyway😏 Milan played well against a team scoring almost 3 goals/90 in holding them to 1. They just didn't play well enough to overcome the red card non-call, the 2 penalty non-calls, the several by definition yellow card cynical fouls that were non-called, as well as the persistent hard fouls that somehow never crossed the threshold into yellow cards. It must be said though, that Juve *did* overcome much the same bias... just as proof of concept that it *can* be done 😉
Finally, y'all are saying what needs to be said about Musah. My guess (given how little I know about Fonseca) based on how Milan has attached so far this year is that Musah lack of finishing is keeping him off the pitch. We all know he's terror from box to box, but inside the 18 he can't buy a goal. And Reijnders and Fofana are more dangerous in that regard... ignoring Reijnders' bottle job vs Leverkusen.
Reijnders is *horrible* in front of goal. He should be fined every time he shoots instead of passing. Musah at least has been on target and has been denied several times by great saves.
@@maudalmusicalmachines3541 you misspelled "every time." It's every time Musah shoots he hits the post, crossbar, or finds the keeper. Gotta be super frustrating for the kid. And to that point, Reijnders- who I don't think is better than Musah- has found the net.
I’d like to see Pochettino send a message by shaking things up a bit. That would suggest branching out. Bring in Slonina, Jalen Neal, Jordan Morris, Marlon Fossey and yeah John Brooks. Don’t worry about too young, too old, too MLS. Create some competition and give more guys a shot. All exact same guys with new coach will still get same old results. Pochettino had a chance to signal a break with past through his first camp and failed. I don’t think any player on the U.S. team now should be considered a “lock.” We’d have to be winning big international matches to have any “lock” players on team. My impression is that Pochettino put in a lot more effort negotiating his deal with U.S. soccer than preparing for this camp.
@@MaximusTheChosenOne maybe. But then, are there any changes you would make to the roster P chose, if you were coach? I would have gone with more MLS and other “inferior league” people who are actually playing in games and are hungry. It worked fine in the Donovan era, even though we supposedly had less quality then (“on paper”) in the pool. By doing that, P would have positively influenced future decisions of U.S. players about where to play. I liked giving Steffen another shot. He chose wisely to play in MLS over bench warming in Europe.
@@stephenrothman6969 I agree. Currently I think there’s too much focus on European players. Especially ones not getting minutes. Like what are the odds that be perform well in the national team and that influences their club team to give them minutes. Probably not great. This isn’t a developmental thing. We need the best players to start showcasing their abilities now. And to your point, maybe that’s players from the MLS and other leagues. At the end of the day you want a guy that’s being counted on his club team as the guy to go to. Something that we see Pulisic embracing at AC Milan. When you just have a bunch of role-players on a national team none of them can step up in the big moments. You need egos sometimes. And that’s why we need guys that are starting at their clubs. And preferably the ones that are the best players on their club. Because they know what it’s like to be needed and looked at to lead and make a big play.
Relax Charlie it wasn't a slight. By Poch. You guys are in fact professional pundits What's wrong with that? There are those who don't know the game and their opinions matter not. Please check your ego brother. The ppl who know you know your value.....dont be such a narcissist Lol. You guys are great
