If you're giving me a choice to choose between these two for free of charge. I'd always choose McLaren just to resell it and buy Plaid which can do daily duties, free charge at work, and smoke supercars on the way, and still have about £200k left in the bank to retire.
@@LVROULETTE well especially when they want you to buy an EV because it's "safer" but all the electricity they used comes from dirty burnt coal and mostly oil and oil products. Soo no. Not better. And now we're forcing people to drive cars with these massive batteries that aren't good for the environment because we're straightmining all of our damn lithium and kobalt. What do you think is going to happen when we run out?
Teslas are really only fast off the line. Anything in the same power band smokes them top end. The 0-150mph time of a model3 performance vs a mustang gt , camero ss, or scatpack is sad
@@ispeedalot I've seen video that contradicts your statement especially in regards to them heavy ass scat packs, I saw a gt barely take one in a qtr mile but again I was on a light and from that light 200 feet to the nest light, it looked like someone picked up and put it down with no torque no fuss just zip fuckin zap.
@movitz1579 wow imagine it taking 20 min to fill up 80% of your gas tank 😅 most people will never drive at the speeds a tesla can do... but everyone runs out of juice.
I have a Model X Plaid and a Ferrari FF, and I can honestly tell you the Model X Plaid is insanely fast; however, it's only good on a straight, brakes are horrible, and it can't do crap in the curves. Going fast straight gets utterly old, but the sound of a naturally aspirated V12 is music to the ears!

People forget the difference between speed and acceleration. The only thing a Tesla beats any car in is acceleration. It’ll never hold that high a speed bc of the heat and then there are many cars with a top speed far surpassing a Tesla that also handle way better. Tesla is king at one thing and it’s acceleration.
Other then being staged. There is a guy with a Tesla plaid who upgraded it the most he could he didn't change to much but took off as much weight as possible along with a few minor upgrades. Even if it wasn't a joke or staged the Tesla would of won still. If ya don't believe me just look it up. Dude beats pretty much every vehicle except the fast ass motorcycles that take off as fast as they do. Now this guy might of thought he'd win once he got up to speed but the take off time and time it takes to accelerate is what gives the Tesla the room to win.

Those Teslas are nuts I’ve seen those things takeoff and made my feel as if I wasn’t even moving. Hate them or love them, that’s an amazing work of engineering.
The Tesla model S is over 1,000 horsepower from the factory all-wheel drive. Why would you underestimate that car, especially the drag strip when you need traction?
We do not underestimate the car, all teslas are quick, not fast, even if a tesla was faster than a McLaren it would still lose in a race, that is because refueling a gas engine takes only a few seconds instead of hours and hours; i also personally despise tesla because of the shitty build quality and lack of any improving features over the other cars in the market, and also the problems that they created and solved with a transaction or a worse fix to make it more complicated than it should be, the only good thing those cars have is the autopilot that i have to admit is pretty cool, but i would still not trust it
@@Raceswaphe just mad some valid points I don’t think he is hurt he just doesn’t find a Tesla impressive car people don’t like them For 3 reasons 1) It’s not fun to watch a race with a 30min intermission while the cars charge (course not strip racing) 2 the silence (you want the noise cos it gives you a serotonin rush hearing engines 3 they can’t be improved through tuning and have very little to know mods being manufactured so they all look like a stock sedan
Not to mention electricity in it is being governed. Because electricity is essentially INSTANT. It's the new "dumbest argument" since the "Automatics versus Manuals" or the "Ar15 versus AK47" .... just plainly dumb...
I don’t remember who said it but he said “ don’t buy a Tesla pretending you’re saving the world, buy it because you like how fast it goes from 0 to 60” something like that, not an exact quote but similar

I heard Joe Rogan say it best... "if I wanna go fast, I'll take my Tesla... if I wanna have fun, I'm taking a muscle car" Jay Leno said something very similar... and like them or not, ya can't really argue that they know their cars
The Tesla's are designed for driving around. Street muscle cars are designed for different things. They're also more expensive to buy, own and run. When they start building EVs for the same purpose they'll kill the ICE vehicles. Tesla's aren't built for the race track.
There's not enough material on earth to switch to all electric everything. What's happening is that all the oil is being sucked up too fast. We need to have a savings account of fossil fuels, and yet they're being used up like a mofo
Now show efficiency curve of the power to charge vs the miles driven over gas. You can charge a Tesla in a couple hours to go 300 miles with a Gen that only used 3 gals of gas.

But even when it’s on the freeway, it can pull away for a good distance. My friend driving his Tesla had to pull away from Camaro since the ahole wouldn’t let him get in front of him to exit. It’s not just from starting launch.
@HansCoche Serious though; would it? If it had a charging station at every stop, and it loses 20 min every charge, you lose 10 min every tank, he will be stopping at least 3 or 4 times to your 1, but can run 130 mph without throwing a con rod, 65/70 tops in the 1300? Electric cars will always have a faster acceleration. There’s no transmission. A fixed gear set. It gets instant torque it’s connected directly to the motor
And also slower deceleration, because of all the weight. No amount of brakes or low center of gravity are going to fix the bottleneck of the tires not being able to provide adequate traction for all that weight.
