Thanks man! Gear I use are pretty simple & frugal: Samsung S10, Ulanzi smartphone rig (plastic), Zhiyun Smooth-Q gimbal, full set of Ulanzi smartphone lenses (1.33x anamorphic, 7.5mm, 16mm, 65mm, 75mm macro), Rode VideoMicro shotgun mic, Manfrotto Befree Live video tripod (carbon version), some small Ulanzi RGB led lights. I use a Sony A6500 with SmallRig cage, Ulanzi mirror vlog screen, and a Pronstoor teleprompter to record my talking head vids.

1:53 . How did you color correct the footage ? Once we have technical luts only for mlog ,hlg and mslog curves .

You can either use one of their technical luts and customize your grade further from there. But i believe in the sample you pointed out I had used another custom LUT with further tweaks.

Hello, thank you for uploading a good video. I have a question. Can these two apps support hdr for 4k 60fps? And as of now, which app would be better to use for Android (I'm the LG G8 model)? Since I am a beginner in video, I prefer to be user-friendly and have less video editing (including color control).

On my Samsung S10, I cannot shoot HDR (10-bit) in 4K 60fps. Can only do up to 30fps with 10-bit color (HDR) turned on. But it could be device dependent. Filmic Pro has a free evaluator app that can tell you which settings are available for your phone model. For a beginner who prefers user-friendly and built-in color grades, ProTake app is probably the most easiest and has nice professional-looking color profiles. Filmic Pro also has in-camera color "looks".

Save preset is also possible in MCpro just that its UI is very confusing to find this feature.

Which LUTs did you use on the mlog files? I've tried both 1D and 3D and they don't seem to be making a difference :-(

Hey Owen. Actually I didn't use their official technical LUTs. Just used some custom ones I had before (can't remember where I got them). But that's odd how either 1D or 3D LUTS don't seem to make a difference. Which editing software are you using to grade your footage or apply your luts?

You can manually adjust the tonecurve in MCPro24fps and bring down the Red levels or boost Blues. But its probably better to do it in post with your editing software.

Hello, you can advise at 1/50 shutter speed and ISO 44 in the afternoon, in bright light, everything is illuminated and what to do if there is no filter ND, I am just starting to shoot on a smartphone in applications Макпро and FilmicPro

With no ND filter the only thing you can do is raise the shutter speed. 1/250-1/800 or even way higher if its the brightest day

Your CONS hit my problem with MCPro24fps right on the head. I find the UI overly complicated and there's no real instructions as far as what all of the features do. Lately, I've been using Protake more and more. Even more than Filmic Pro because the interface allows me to just jump into shooting.

I know right! How has your experience been with Protake? I tried the free version once, the subscription type fee kind of discouraged me. Is it worth the subscription do you think?

@@RJBaculo Yeah I'm not a fan of subscriptions either. I've finally been able to get rid of this Adobe subscription and I picked up one for Protake. Lol. But the subscription prices on Protake has gone down to $13.99 per year as opposed to the $19.99 that it once was and with the new update it has some nice new features. I just find it a lot simpler to use. You should give it another shot. I'd be interested in seeing your opinion on it in a video.

To be fair, it does say "pro" in the name. That means they provide the features and its up to you to figure out how you want to use them. So not technically a con. When I bought my first pro camera I was overwhelmed by all the features and settings and not a single list on how to use them. Just the most basic descriptions on how they're used such as, fast motion/stop and go/sports/etc. I had to take a class to learn how to become a better photographer. Then another paid course (Linkedin) for instructions on how to setup and use all the features of my specific camera model. What the app developers can do is organize the features in the most logical and easy to use manner. Anyway, the good news for content creators is that it gives them something to figure out, and opportunity to create content to get many more subscribers.

Just love mcpro24fps, especially that they have a lot of LOG and LUT profiles compared to filmic pro.

For me the only disappointed about the app is that there is no gimbal support, although the developer said to me that i could just used the gimbals bluetooth to control like the shutter button, but i think it would be really better to have a gimbal support and sadly they don't have a plan to put it.

@@kylemacabalitao6722 oh thats sad to hear. Both Filmic Pro and ProTake have gimbal support. I would've thought it would be an easy fix for the devs to implement.
