Without that variable in the mix, the 2 participants could turn the Duel over to a couple bots, and I’m not sure we’d know the difference.

Great show! Fun tourney, I had a lot of fun cheering for Kashtira's destruction lol... it's too bad Purely had so much impact and took over finals, but the players still did really well, they all had well executed plays and clearly understood the matchups
Gee whiz who would have thought the Meta deck that dropped FULL POWER before next wave of support with zero prehits can wreck Kash and the other decks that have at least some form of hits. Wtf was Konami smoking?
I think Branded is easily tier 2 in this format. Love to see M0rad, April and Vec always representing. Kash is a big pile of shit, that limited Prosperity really hurt the deck, no Diablosis menna weaker Arise as well. But I’m not complaining.
Purrely *NEEDS* a nerf. Realistically, I expect Delicious, Happy & Pretty going to 2. They're the low rarity cards, so Konami probably had future hits in minds. Like they did with Tearlament Merrli
I'm hoping for a limit on the regular purrely alongside some hits to the e-tele's, the card with no OPT. The fact that the deck is basically just 20 e-tele's, all of which (usually) break even because they have 4 targets that have summon trigger effects, is completely bs. I dislike limiting a deck's capability to play through interruptions, and would prefer they just ban Noire, but i doubt they'll do that in MD especially since it's a UR. All I know is that im not playing MD as long as purrely is playable and ariseheart is legal, lol.
@@luciferion7135 if your starting hand not having enough gas for alternative play like Regained or Bystial then Imperm on Striker is the biggest hit (depend if opp normal for Striker) and Ash on Romulus / Chaos Ruler (mil 4 could be dangerous)
Kashitra and Purrely are ridiculous on the ladder. Its early to hit them on the banlist ok but Konami could at least lift some hits from other decks to increase their strenght against these.

I like having a meta but i enjoy a lot more having different formats to play in different decks or different ways to win Maybe tag duels can be an actual fun thing in the future I know this is a long stretch and possibly a way yo play yu gi oh in a different state with different rules But 2v2 has always sound very interesting to me Teaming up with my best mate agaisnt other people just sounds like a lot of frustration and errors that translate to a lot of fun!!! At least for me..
They are literally the most consistent deck in the game when all their quickplay spells are all unlimited, non opt, and act as both tutors and overlay fuel for bonus effects. On top of a continuous tutor because why not + the two monsters that tutors and excavates

Hopefully, in the next banlist, we can get a second copy of Branded Fusion. I mean, one branded fusion makes Branded a Tier 2 deck, but a second one would make it tier 1 in this format. Also, Fuck Kashtira.
I'm expecting Purrely hits, Dragon Link hits, and some undeserved Branded hit. They need to make money off Kashtira and not just this tournament but others that are being held, as well as the Duelist Cup will make people not even bother with Kashtira given there are better performing decks.

@elinieto5170 I feel like Konami made Noir with this hilariously false impression that there's any semblance of a grind game. Like you're supposed to make them detach materials until it can be affected over the course of several turns. Except all the players know that if you don't Kaiju Noir or out it through some other niche way (which both pretty much revolve around drawing the out) then they're gonna gather enough advantage to end you next turn. Unaffected cards can be fine. Unaffected cards in archetypes that get advantage like an exotic dancer does dollar bills is not.
Hi dkayed, might I suggest a tournament format where there are going first and going second decks? I noticed there is a real big problem with going first having a mega advantage. Almost every time the player who goes first twice wins the game. Also, the main complain for ppl is lack of deck diversity. So I think having different go first go second decks can help mitigate the 2 issues. Hope you can think abt it:)
@@Degen9111 kashtira has no negates and is seen to be more consistent when being played with other engines (pure kash often bricks). i love purrely and i'd hate for it to be hit but there's just no denying how consistent and powerful the deck is.
people not playing expurely happinessis crazy to me, whole field negate(cant activate cards in response like the busted link monsters) has crazy attack and burns. Best game ender in the game
If u play it u better go 2nd Exhappiness that can only good values as delivering more damage only if was ranked up from Plump (5800) damage then does nothing afterwards (it may depends on how many delicious you attached though and u usually if go second with something u wanna cleaning) I was initially back before try one but seems I even barely summon it at all
If opponent have a monster or 2 that does nothing and you have Happiness and Delicious (if it was only a monster) then u can perform OTK (what I called it cheapTK because how cheap to OTK with it) or even go Zeus 6/7 mat

Well, that's meta fun for you. Duels with repetitive interactions because this meta only has two-three best decks. Fortunately, nobody brought a Monarch deck to lock all of these Extra Deck dependant meta. Fortunately for them, Monarchs can't survive tournaments like these if entering like lone wolfs.

It's difficult to keep your tribute monster alive against a deck that can summon high ATK monsters effortlessly and without the need of their Extra Deck. They only need to beat over my tribute monster or to tribute summon their own monster to get over the Domain lock.
@@robertbarber1198, in an overall, they have a small chance. Nobody will side deck (if in MD tournaments like these allow side deck) against a Monarch deck. So, to Domain lock your opponent (assuming you're dueling against Branded, Purrely, Dragon Link, etc) should be easier if your opponent doesn't plays with a deck that has monsters with a level 5+ that can be tributed or many back row removal in order to dissolve the lock. I'm sure that if many players bring a Monarch deck in tournaments like these with the current meta, they have a good chance to go far. Only Kashtira have a good match up to always get rid of the Domain lock consistently.
Idc I rather have this meta than tear meta. Purely has outs , kash has outs , dragon link isn’t over powered, floodgates are non existent except Dimensional barrier. Overall a decent meta.
@@sesshomarutomioka9220 I rotate depending on how the ladder is going but in order my go to is Swordsoul , Mathmech, Lab, purrely , Dlink, kash( literally built it to not play it 😂) & testing Rescue ace. The reason I really like this meta is ppl are putting up less Omni negates also.
I don’t understand this format….preemptively hitting kash rather hard (which is fine) but purrely is so ridiculous right because of how free it is….extremely unfun right now
I really want maxx c getting banned because aside from it being an annoying card I want it banned because I want to experiment with other cards for some of my rogue decks… also to get rid of ash because even though its a staple I can just replace it with better hand traps/board breakers.

No it wasn’t stop acting like “it was always like this” obvious purely player. None of the formats prior promoted a zero prehit meta deck with a bunch of non opt Quickplay spells that can end with a high stat tower with MULTIPLE non OPT shuffles, draws, etc.
Have to agree. Name one Deck available in MD, with the Hits it had, that dominated as thoroughly as Purrely? Honestly, I think Tribrigade comes closest, by dint of there being nothing it couldn’t outgrind in the cardpool at the time. One could *maybe* argue Swordsoul-with-DPE by way of Celestial, but I would argue Purrely goes way beyond that w/ the plussing when you try to break their board… Edit: When Dkayed has to beg participants not to surrender in multiple rounds, because the game was decided in a single turn 1 exchange, and the loser doesn’t want to sit through the exchange-winner’s mirror full-combo, I think there’s a problem.
on the toxicity scale droll is actually right below maxx c imo. purrely is just too disgusting, still not getting over the fact that they have been released completely untouched. kash is actually kinda ok, you can break their board easily but this...
Droll is just measure how toxic the decks nowadays by just getting too resources for a turn and rendering opponent deck by their board and amount of resources to comeback
DKay Arise-heart is not soft once per turn, my opponent used TT on mine and he activated the banish effect after I already used the effect in the same turn 😅

I've only been playing kash for as long as it's been out and that isn't alot and I'm already starting to get extremely bored at making kashtira combo lines over and over again
Took a 8 month break and I can't get any "meta decks" due to not havin gems or ur materials. Im stuck with my zoodiac tri-brigade / LunaLight until I break them down and try the meow meows. Sometimes I hate this game 🥲
It's not the game's fault that you decide to take a break and not enough gems. Just buy gems or just quit completely. Complaining won't take you anywhere. Bear with it

You gonna need 2 months to have 10k gem though so u need to at least grab a good meta deck so you don't need to spend for each meta decks You can't chase all meta decks though Such as these 3 recent month release: Kashtira Purrely Second support of Kashtira I do even make some meta decks but some ending up cannot be finished it due to lack of URs So I suggest at least pick a meta deck/some new deck every several months
