DNB from corporate hospital is as good as MD anesthsia from tertiary Government College with cardiac OT & Neuro OT. In corporate hospitals there are latest work station, Fibre optic brochoscope. In corporate there's enough hands on so there's hardly any difference except Obgy high risk cases. There is regularly academics in good DNB institute. In contrast MD from small Government medical College with limited superspeciality surgery OTs there's limited variety of cases. For anesthsia it's PG institute which is most important than DNB or MD.
As per my knowledge 1 year of SR in a MCI (NMC) recognized medical college attached hospital, is necessary only for appointment as Assistant Professor in NMC approved Medical College hospital. No extra year of SRship beyond 3 years is necessary according to rules (4rth year is not required for any kind of DNB, wether its for appointment as AP or for job in normal govt. hospital. ). In fact for job in private and govt. sector and further studies DNB is equivalent to MD. But your medical college department and clerks may twist and misinterpret rules to discriminate against you.
Health scene of India changing too much. Never forget in all local, regional cases one should be familiar to give GA also..so GA is most important in all aspects with learning both Regional and blocks . Postop learning sometimes is better in big Govt and big Corporate hospital as far as ICU is concerned
Sir I am from UP ,I can get MD anaesthesia from KGMC ,RML ,Lucknow maybe in 3rd round or MOP up according to 2023 allotment ,same about SMS Jaipur .But as per the allotment I might get DNB in good private colleges of Delhi in 1st or max 2nd round so what should be my priority while filling choices ,given there is no bond after DNB
Sir got Md Anesthesia at Dmch Darbhanga.Good case load in General surgery, ortho , Obgy , Ent etc. But no Surgical SS dept is there. ICU setup is of avg quality. Is it good to join. Thanks in advance.
Sir, is it better to join max hospital in new delhi for dnb anesthesia vs bhagatphool singh govt medical College sonepat Haryana. I am really confused.
Hi Dr. Naina. I also have a similar situation- confused between BPS Sonepat/ KCGMC Karnal Vs corporate Hospitals of Delhi. I can see your comment was regarding neet 2023 and hopefully you found your answer and well settled in your residency. Can you please advice the regarding the above mentioned options. Thank you doc 🙏🏻

@rajarshimitra4018 anaesthesia is not a branch with much interaction and anaesthesia people are the most happy people in any institute so good luck scaring someone else I hope you get the seat by doing so
Hi Sir ...now many are telling that "just get a MD seat in any college no natter good or bad and get the degree ....later u can learn by practicing..because now degree is important" Is this really true? Or should prefer good college with more patients rather than any bad college just for degree sake?
Sir is it better to go for above average private hosp like JJMC davangere karnataka md anaesthesia or any good corporate hospital dnb anaesthesia like hirnandani hosp mumbai or narayan hrudayala hosp bnglr Thanks in advance sir
DNB dch forom gov medical College .. and MD anaesthesia from gov medical College.. which one is better if I want to work in metro cities.. as intrest point of view I am comfortable with both ..
@@DDTipsy boss my basic concerned is that I want to work in metro cities and want to settled early.. as such my interest point of view I am ok ok with both of these branches..
@@vinaykunal4756 There is huge difference in training, career, competition, job profiles, social recognition of these specialities. A difference of year or two or may be more doesnt matter when it comes to remaining entire life of 40-50 years
Thankyou sir for the clarity , from which college mam has done her DNB? And i got MD anesth in nscb jabalpur , should i take it or wait for state round for better clg ?
Sir , I have passed my Dnb this year and will be appearing in super speciality entrances but in a dilemma to as to which to choose Neuro and cardiac, please help
Go and find out of types of cases like Neuro Cardiac OT ect along with hands on. Then decide whether it's worth spending money on private medical College MD. DNB is tougher to pass if institute is not good as unless you have variety superspeciality OT u don't read about it u don't read about anesthsia management of cases.
Sir . If I get a DNB anaesthesia from an govt college(GMC ANANTNAG )which doesn’t have superspeciality branches like urology, CVTS etc. and also they have yet to start SICU. They are planning to but as of now they don’t have it. But they have a high dependency unit . And some 9 ventilators. Is it worth taking ?
Now work hard...and dont shy away from duties. Try to do as much as cases possible and as much as procedures. Read good books and build concepts and take care of details. Try to become a good and safe anaesthetist. Wish you a long and fulfilling career ahead..🙂
