@Mike MCbain there are hardly any new 500’s in the civi world now. Maybe some 530’s for commercial work. I think new paint is about 20k USD.

It’s an E model with the pointed nose, the older was a D.

@Cutter I think the D is often regarded as the best. The ‘C’ with the c18 is a good ship but ran out of power and limited with weight. Having said that, they are great machines.

It had light flares fitted but they where just removed. You popped them at night to illuminate the landing.

Just before it lifts it does about 3.05. The 500 does not produce much down draft.
