Holy hell. I just watched this entire thing and got it working. You are the man!! Thank you so much for this video. I love CV but not being able to section mdf end panels, island panels, and doors has been such a nightmare. So thanks again and keep the vids coming!
Awesome man! Nice work. It’s a bit tricky to copy everything over from the video. But yeah, I love this option so much better. It really opens the doors to what you can do.
This is excellent! I'm using this to make 2-piece MDF doors (the UCS Approach). I'm struggling to add a separate panel, but this has gotten me so much farther than where I was.
man, i may have already commented on this video. But i just wanna tell you i've come back to reference this video like 10 times in the past month since you've posted it. Lots of good info. Thank you again!
@myronwittmer A video on how to add door profiles as an attribute like mentioned in your video would be good aslo. Aswell as a customisable hinge positioning and quantity ucs Or how to use different construction methods/intelli joints on a single cabinet using attributes. As in the top of a left end has a blind dado, bottom of left end has cams, top right end has dowels and so on.
Thanks for sharing this method. Super helpful when it comes to custom panels and finished ends! Was wondering if you could show how you would setup the UCS to automatically switch off the pocketing tool when you have a narrow drawer face (ex. 6" height)? Thanks!
Hi Myron When selecting the 60 deg V bit and setting it up with the engraving option im not getting sharp corners. My cnc will go into the corner, then rise and fall in the one position rather then sloping up in to the corner to create the sharp point. Do you know what the reason may be?
I’m out of my office this week. Go to my profile and send me an email. I’ll reply when I get back home with a snippet of how this works. I didn’t have time to cover it in this video.
Yes. If you go to the reports tab, and then click on Order Entry, you can add line items without being on a wall. The thing you will need to do is create a "Door Only" type of object so you don't have to mess with all the other cabinet parts.
2 things 1. After inserting the route id in the second ucs my shaker pattern doesn't have 90 degree corners. They're more like 60 degree. Is there a way to fix this? 2. When creating the visual for the route it shows the tool out line. So rather than show a single rectangle to depict the shaker patern it shows a second rectangle offset by the tool thickness. Is there a way to only show a single rectangle like yours shows up for the shaker design.
They might both be the toolset. Make sure you are assigning the correct tool id of your toolset and then check the individual tools within the set for accuracy.
@myronwittmer also how would you go about adjusting the rail widths as it doesn't apply the rail size that the toolset is set up for. Unless its just another toolset issue
