Sam Claflin is the ultimate leading man. There is something about him, in his smiles and eyes, that just draw you forward.

I cry when I hear Photograph. Every. Freaking. Single. Time.

This has got to be one of the best and most wonderfully done book to movie transitions ever. So much love and emotions could be felt.

"... you think it's Lou's duty to save Will but in fact it's the other way around". That's true. He ends up saving her more than she saves him. .... Beautiful story but I still don't like the ending.

This book broke my heart, made me laugh. And made me think! I will watch the movie. And I will cry forever about it!

3 years later and I still hate the ending

I loved this movie. Sam and Emilia really brought those characters to life. I forgot that they were Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, and that's when an actor has done their job. I cried at the ending. Such a beautiful story, although the ending sucked. I think that disability advocates have a right to be mad, but this story is about one person's experience being a quadrapelegic. His story alone does not count for the many individuals who deal with what he has.

Loved this movie to bits. Laughing and crying all the way through.

This was such a sweet film to watch, with moments of happiness and humour balanced against sadness. Sam and Emilia give very good performances.

Already crying and all I've done is read the book and watch the trailers

I had admired Sam before, more so now, he's always brilliant with each character he plays.. I have also admired Emilia more now 😊

Out of all this all I can say is. NEVILLE FREAKING LONGBOTTOM.

You’d think after years of watching this over and over again ( like more than 10 times ) and bawling my eyes out over and over again then years of not watching it for a long time, i’d be okay and more calm watching this. I stand myself corrected once again AND THIS IS JUST A SNIPPET AND IM IN TEARS . Thats how brilliant the movie is

and no one comments on the flexibility of her eyebrows? every single one of you is MISSING the point.

I was so surprised to find out that Lou's story continues in two additional books. I listened to the audio versions of the books and it felt so good to spend more time with her. Still miss Will, though. Awesome story.

at the beginning I didn't like the ending but then I started to think as if I were in the character's shoes and I think the character's motivations are valid

He’s amazing at creating a character that is really easy to fall in love with but still has depth. And then most of his characters die and you cry. But he really makes you feel something no matter who the character is.

Even without a functional body, he manages to be charming af! 😍

Love this movie, the actors did this book proud, could watch it a hundred times and still enjoy it 😍

even though i hated the ending too, i could understand will. we, the people who can move and live our lives on our own, can't see how hard it is to sit the whole day in a wheelchair, without the power to move. those people sit the whole day and need for everything they do someone. they can't take showers, they can't eat alone, they always need someone who does these things for them. and then they also have incredible pain. they can get ill very fast and i think to live a life like that is really hard, especially when you, lived like will, before the accident, a great life full of sport and travelling and joy and stuff like that. i don't support suicide but i don't think anybody should judge these people without knowing what they are going through. after all they don't commit suicide because someone broke up with them or whatever reason teenagers or other people have. and i think another point for will was, that if he would've stayed alive, lou had no possibileties to live the life he wants her to live. he showed her that she was destined for greatness and if he would have survived she would have spent the rest of her life with will and i think he also was afraid that one day, she maybe regrets that she never travelled the world or made more of her live and blamed him. and if you want to know what her live became after will died you can read "after you". it is really good. not as good as "me before you", but really good.

I just love this story but the ending was very sad. It was wonderful, I still watch it now and then. God bless who wrote it and all the actors...Well done.xxxxx

Also, it's beautiful in a way because in a sense, Will lives on through the new start he gives to Lou. His love for her remains and something truly good comes from his sad end of life.

I soooo regret not watch this in theaters! This movie is honestly spectacular and the book is even better!!! The movie really follows the book and both are inspiring!!!

As someone who has a muscle disease and someone who will be like him. Its simply amazing story line gives me hope

To those who disagree with Will's choice *Spoiler Alert* - but Nathan states that Will is in a lot of pain and has had to endure lots of shattering illness since his accident. His choice to end his life is not one he takes easily but I can understand why he does it.
