Me going through getting books ready to submit for grading. It’s a long one but lots of good info! 

Thanks! I was torn on the cc as I tried to get them to come on when I started and could not figure it out! I used them for shorts and carried them over for long videos. But I will try dropping them and see what happens. I am trying to find a way to over lay the covers to keep from moving the books from having to be moved. Especially during my ncbd videos. I was worried about that video as it is a screen recording added as a layer in CapCut. The lighting is just a 30 Costco light with a holder and I use my iPhone as camera. I want to get better lighting but it’s good to know that mostly has the effect I’m going for. The typing noise is weird as I was only using the screen keyboard but I have been having mic issues. I really appreciate the feedback! I’m new at this and know there are things that could be better! I’ll try dropping the captions on my new videos this Wednesday, the full ones and leave them on for the shorts. If you have not checked out those let me know if they are the same problem.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. Thank you for making the content. I'd like to offer my two pennies if that's okay, and I absolutely don't mean to be rude or negative, just giving an outsider's unbiased point of view. 1. Subtitles. The subtitles are jarring. The rapid blasting forward of every word is distracting and takes away from the content. Not only that, but the text and background are so huge that it blocks out 1/3 of each comic being held up. To be completely honest, for me, it is so disruptive that I can't watch the entire video or another. I did a little test and turned the youtube "cc" on, and it is perfect. I watched for 5 minutes, and it picked up every word you spoke without a single error. The speed of the text is slow and smooth, it's small and out of the way, and the background is translucent, allowing more to be seen in the picture, rendering the obs subtitles completely unnecessary. 2. Lighting. I think the lighting is okay. The picture quality is sharp, and the background is fine. The CLZ overlay (that I can barely read on a 70" screen) covering part of you feels cramped, which is odd since you have half a foot of open space to your left. But back to lighting. You and the books are excessively bright, and the viewer gets slightly blinded from the glare when you flip the book. This may be great for spotting defects, but the audience doesn't need to strain their eyes for an hour while absorbing information. I would dim it slightly if possible, or cover it with some kind of light damper, like parchment paper or a thin white sheet, if you're not going to replace with a soft light box altogether. As a last note, the lighting is nowhere near a deal breaker as the subtitles. 3. There was only going to be two, but wow. You just started typing and the key sounds are super loud. I would just mute that altogether. Side note! Your OBS misspelled McFarlane when you said it, but the youtube cc got it right. That's it! Hopefully, that helps. The content is good, video is clear and sharp, your speech is clear and concise, inflections are good, audio quality is good... In my opinion, I think that if you adjusted those two things (especially the first), you'd speed up the viewership progression from 500 in 3 weeks to 5,000 in 3 weeks. Best of luck!
