I`d like to see more ways to score points, to help variability; maybe end game goals such as collecting the most of various species. Also, some way of introducing player interaction beyond just taking a card that someone else might want.
I agree, although the player interactions that do occur aren't generally speaking nefarious in nature, because as I mentioned in the video there are several possibilities to get a card that you need, those moments can be few an far between, and if you don't have those moment you could very easily just sit next to someone (especially in a 2 player game) and play an entire game without needing to interact much with each other. I'm also still unaware of what the envelopes provide with regards to additional content, so maybe there could be more in there to beef it up a little bit more?
Yes, it;s a good point. They have the objectives on the campfire that are worth 9 points if you score them all. They could make a difference. I think the designer wanted to keep it simple. This is a game that when being play with players of similar levels, you rarely will have a difference of more than 10 points. Its a very tight game.
Agreed! My wife and I just played a pick up game the other day and despite her having scores all three bonus objectives she could have and me only scoring 1, it still ended with her only wining by 2 points and the majority of our games have played out like that lately.
