A while later, the northbound train of ~40 hoppers heads north. This time, the power was HMCR 8539 and HMCR 8527, with HMCR 8539 leading this time around; opposite of what it was this morning.
Since there weren't any street-lamps located near the crossing, I decided to get a bit creative. As there's a large empty lot on the southwest corner of the crossing, I decided to pull my car into there and pull it up next to the crossing with the front facing the signals, and then I had my brights turned on to illuminate the crossing. Seems to have worked out pretty well.
