THANK YOU!!! I purchased one of these through your Amazon link several weeks back & I'm LOVING IT!!! I live alone plus have a bad back & I find it too much trouble to heat up the oven plus the bending over kills the back. I was considering the Foodi but it was way too expensive!!! The Mealthy didn't break the bank & it works wonderfully!!! I can do BBQ Ribs in my IP & then brown them with the Mealthy & they taste better than being out in the heat while using the grill plus 100 times more tender!!! I do my baked potatoes in my IP & then add a little salt to the skin, pop on the CrispLid & I have a steakhouse baked potato!!! Yesterday I was craving a biscuit. I make them & freeze them in advance for when I really want one. They cooked close to perfect. I just had to lower the temperature just a little & they cooked faster than in the oven. I'm still experimenting with things I love to eat. Next I'll try the recipes that came with the unit!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
Love my CrispLid, been using it for a few weeks, am so glad I bought it, wanted to replace my old small air fryer but didn't have room for anything big, this is perfect, fits my Instant Pot 6qt, doesn't take up much storage space when not in use. Love it.
I have had my Cosori a week and I am glad I have it. That lid you just demontrated is way more work, than having a whole other appliance. I have never precooked potatoes to do in an air fryer, and the Cosori cooks fast and even. I ordered the accessories for the air fryer, but they are for the 3qt, and I have the 5.8qt. So the pot and eggie mold are too small. Fortunately I have the eggy mold that fits my Instant Pot, so that part is not an issue. I really appreciate your reviews, and purchased both the IP and Air fryer after watching your videos. Thank you.
THANK you so much for this video! I was just about to order an Airfryer, but just seen this in the nick of time, and decided to get this instead. Had I not seen your video, I would not have known about this. I clicked your link and ordered it. I have an Instant Pot which I LOVE so much, and now, I will have the best of both worlds. I do not know what I'd do if my Instant Pot ever conked out, cause I use it almost every day. THANK you!
Just watched mealthy’s how to video. The trivet is for the lid and the cute little tongs fit in the basket handle for safely taking out while hot. They thought of everything. 😉 Of course you told us before end of video. I was too excited. 😉
Nili, I received my Mealthy CrispLid on the first day and I know I’m going to enjoy using it. You did a GREAT job demonstrating this new accessory. 👍🏻 Thank you! I believe Mealthy.com has already published quite a few recipes on their website and I believe one can sign up to receive them via email.
I saw this from another person I follow on utube so I knew it was coming out. The silicon lid is to set the mealthy lid on when you take it off the pressure cooker you used it on
The crisp lid is a delightful tool. Mealthy is a great little company with stellar customer service. The app and online community are nice too. Thanks for this video.
L am definitely interested in buying a crisplid for my Instant Pot. I roast veggies in oven a lot, but the heat is unbearable in my apartment during the summer. Unless I wait until very late at night or very early in the morning to use the oven. You didn't mention if the crisplid puts out a lot of heat into the air, but I assume it would be less than the oven heats the entire kitchen.
I was looking for a Review of the Crisp Lid and saw that you posted one. I've liked your Product Reviews in the past and this one didn't disappoint. Thank You
Amen! The very first video of Nili's I ever saw was her unboxing of the Cuckoo! I've been a huge fan ever since! As one other poster said once, come for the Instant Pot, stay for the family!
Try pressing the button with the square on it to see if that pauses the machine. That would seem to be safer than hoping the handle doesn't get pressed down while you have the lid sitting anywhere besides on the pot.
Neat item and at just under $50 it's a great addition to the IP. Thanks for the video. Can't wait to see what you cook next with it. We just purchased the Ninja Foodi a couple months ago but I'm finding times when I'd like a second air fryer so this is a good option.
Hello there! TY for sharing this CrispLid by Mealthy! I heard about this. Someone had asked in social medias if she can use CrispLid on her other Pressure Cooker I think she has the Instant Pot. The answer is yes ecept not for the 3 qt pressure cookers.
I kept on thinking on getting a instant pot or a ninja foodi, but the size and weird lid setup on the ninja are not what I'm looking for. So happy I found your video, great option and less expensive too.
I thought about buying this. But I found a used (but like new) air fryer on Ebay for $50, so Much Cheaper. But of course if you have a small kitchen, you need to save space, and I can see the attraction of this crisp lid.
Thank you for the review. If I didn't already have the Ninji Foodi I would be getting this, because I love the fact that the crisper lid comes off, the Ninji Foodi one stays attached. They will probably come out with one soon. LOL Thanks again.
Thanks for the great review. I got the 8qt Mealthy pot. I been waiting for the Ninja foodie price to go down since I got a regular IP and really couldnt justify getting another. This is a great add on!! 👍😁 Price is reasonable.
I bought a Foodi and used it for 6 months, and then returned it to Kohls. I thought I'd love it, but overtime I realized that it wasn't doing as good a job as separate appliances. And it's so heavy, and takes up so much room, almost as much as the separate appliances. And sometimes I want to pressure cook and air fry, at the same time. Kohls said that they are getting many of them back.
Hmmm. I'm wondering how energy efficient it is. I'd like to see more things cooked with it. Fried chicken (breaded), french fries, etc. It has possibilities.
I just got mine today. So excited, but, I'm worried that the rest of my dinner will cool off or I won't be able to make a suitable amount of food i.e., wings with it. I'm thinking I might need to cook two layers. Please let me know. Thank you.
Thank you for the Amazon link!!! I just purchased one today & it should arrive no later than Wednesday. I sure am glad that I procrastinated on the Foodi as $49 is a whole lot better than $199!!!I'm looking forward to making a delicious Pork Tenderloin before the week is through!!!
Hi. Did you empty the water in pot after pressure cooking and before starting the CrispLid? I really believe until that water is either burned-off or emptied, the skins will be delayed in crisping. Nice video!
Was there a reason you didn’t dry out the pot before using the air fryer lid? It seems it would shorten the crisping time. Super interesting accessory! I never heard of it until I found this video a few minutes ago. Good review!
@@cookie8260 Nice. Thanks. Now, Instant Pot has the Vortex. Thinking they saw this coming. I wonder if you can do a whole chicken in the IP and then brown it with this thing?
I would love to rush out and get one as they have really good reviews on their website but I think I will wait until you use it a bit and give us an update. I love your reviews!
knitnpaint an air fryer is basically a convection oven. It circulates the hot air to evenly cook your food faster than regular ovens. A toaster oven takes a lot longer and does cook evenly. A full convection oven costs thousands of dollars. Getting that convection effect for 50 dollars as an air fryer is a great compromise. It mimics the crispiness of fried foods without the oil
Thanks for the video! I loved the idea plus all the accessories, but unfortunately the basket is just too small (7" across the bottom) so I'm returning it. To do as many crisp fries as they showed in their video on Amazon, it would have taken 3 times at 20 minutes. Very creative idea however!
Indigo, Wlil you please measure the height of that metal 3 legged trivet and tell me how tall it is. I have been searching for just that particular one and cannot find one. Thank you kindly. 😊
WoW! I'm lovin it..... Thanks for sharing the details with us.. I will be definitely be investing in one of these.. sharing to FB for others to see.. yay, yay, yayyyy 🤗
Jaylina R I was initially excited about the Foodie when it came out, but decided against it due to its size, the lid cannot be removed and if one feature stops working you’re stuck with a half working pot. I was waiting for the updated model where the lid is removable, but this is a much better option. And a lot more affordable.
I have the foodi and the crisp lid. I did a side by side test and the crisp lid actually cooked faster and was better at the browning. Most likely because the food sits closer to the food than it does in the foodi. It's a great product!
Max working temp of an instapot is 245F. Putting this, unauthorised, unit on top will cook items at more than 255F over double the Max designed temperature of your instapot.....do you think that’s a good idea? Can’t be doing it much good. Air fryers are cheap, just buy a separate one. (The ninja is DESIGNED to work at those temperatures, so it’s ok.)
Cat C. The pot you use does not have to be a pressure cooker. You can use it with a pot that you use on the stove, stainless, cast iron, etc., but would need to be extra cautious not to bump the cord or touch the pot while in use.
Isn't the point NOT to use oil? I mean why use an airfryer if you are going to use oil? I really wish you had done the demo without it, as I think that is really why people are using an air fryer in the first place.
All the air fryers I've used have recommended using some oil to get the best results in their manuals. You end up using far less oil than deep frying, which is the point.
@@IndigoNili Okay, interesting. I would think you could get crispy doing that just in a regular oven if you use any oil. But watched another demo with none , potatoes cut and scored and they looked amazingly crispy and delicious.
