JUDGE JUDY GETS A GASP FROM THE AUDIENCE WHEN SHE SAYS 'SHE DOESN'T GIVE A RATS ASS'...PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SUGGESTING THAT'S THIS IS HER MEANEST YEAR on TV. THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR PERSONAL PROFIT, AND I MAKE NO MONEY FROM ADVERTISING....
"The law doesn't give a rat's ass..." DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOING IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FYI - Petri Hawkins Byrd pulls in more than a $1 million dollars a year for standing there and introducing cases. He's a tough guy and can handle Judy when she goes on a tirade. He was interviewed once, and mentioned how Judge Judy always insisted on his salary being raised when hers is. She has apologized if something went too far, or if she was insensitive to him. However, he said she has never been wrong about spotting a sleazebag. Byrd's skin is thick enough to handle it. Is yours? She respects officer Byrd. It is my opinion that she said that, knowing she was right, probably realizing how it came out sounding wrong, but she respects and trusts him so much, that her opinion of what happened is just as confident and true as Officer Byrd is in his integrity to her. I agree, she said it wrong, but I think even Officer Byrd knew what she was trying to say in the heat of the moment.
Byrd is one of her closest friends and it was obvious that she was so certain of what she was saying, that she would never bet like that if she thought she was wrong. That was one of the highest compliments she could pay.
@@lvsoad22 Not sure how it hasn't aged well. Nobody said they were best friends. They were professionals. If Judy never had respect for the man, then she never would have insisted on bringing him on the show in the first place. They were always a team. As to Judy Justice, Byrd was pulling in a crapload of money by the time that show started and he was above the pay scale. So they chose someone else. Besides, he had made plenty of money on the previous show and could retire comfortably. She gave a lowly Bailiff the break of a lifetime, and in the end he was pulling in well over a $1 million a year for standing there. Not bad, not bad at all, yet people think he has been snubbed or something. They aren't buddies. They never were. Not every benefactor wants to be your friend. There is something, however, about this year with Judy. This was when the Producers approached her and did somewhat of an intervention. Something was wrong. Even the State of California was threatening to pull her license of arbitration. Many of her judgements were being overturned because of her recent behavior, as people have a right to present their case. She came back calmer, got her hair done, was still a hardass, but listened more. Whatever the issue was she overcame. Nevertheless, everyone knows what they are getting into when they appeared on the show. There's no excuse.
She’s been a judge for so long she knows how to cut through the bs. Avoid using words like believe, about, like, basically, etc. True facts don’t use these terms
Hana J ummmm.. What company do you work for??? I have worked for a number of companies and I have never never never never once seen that in our company's code of conduct ever not once.
I know this is a late posting, but Hana J is actually correct. Most companies, especially large corporations, will conduct intense training on code of ethics and code of conduct, to make employees fully aware on proper work etiquette, what is acceptable in the workplace, and also explaining to how to handle a situation that is not necessarily a crime, but in violation against someone’s personal rights. The HR department will have a company manual in writing, they would have to make available for employees to have. I know this subject for most companies I have worked for always planned these code of ethics classes.
Finally, she said a "rat's ass" instead of "rat's behind", or "rat's tutu." She might have said rat's ass in a previous case, but this is my first time hearing it.
I watched an interview from 1990 I believe, and she had always been fiery about people who abuse the system, so I totally understand her fervor. She came from years and years of arbitrating cases in the family and foster care courts, so I think she more than knows a thing or two about both people and lawyers exploiting legal loopholes to get away with something. Nothing gets passed her.
How is this mean, it's 100% true. With a case involving two sides, feelings are irrelevant. What's relevant are facts. Without provided facts, you have nothing.
I also believe that the laws should work for the people and not for no one or a select group of people that's why we need to go to the congress not courts to change the laws to make it more fair to make laws more fair we don't need we cannot go to the courts to get the laws to become Fair we need the Congress to make laws Fairer
What a big lying baby he is. Got a restraining order against plantiff and didn't tell the judge that they worked together so now he can't go to his job.
Your “feelings” is not a valid reason to file a protective order against someone. They have to had actually done something to you. The defendant basically said “he felt like he would get harassed” and Judy pretty much told him the law doesn’t care about how you “feel” about anything. If you don’t have specific facts, you have no valid reason.
I love JJ. She speaks common sense to a bunch of liars and idiots. After all these years of dealing with stupidity, she has more patience than I would.
WOW, WOW,WOW , I HAVE HAD MORE COMMON SENSE AT 12 YRS OF AGE THEN ANY OF THESE PPL IN ANY OF THE COURT CASES I HAVE WATCHED JUDGE JUDY DEAL WITH !!!! POOR JUDGE JUDY , MOST OF THESE PPL I HATE TO SAY ARE MORON'S BY THEIR OWN ACTION'S!!! SO SAD!
OMG she is NOT being mean. She is being right. People who abuse they system by filing bogus protective orders are disgusting. He should have been fined or spent time in jail (yes!) for taking away time and resources from an already overloaded system.
She's absolutely right, the courts don't care how you feel...they care about facts & evidence. You don't have facts & that say you're being harassed or evidence that says you're being harassed...you're pretty much shit outta luck.
I think it is about time someone stood up for what is right. Judge Judy may not come across as all peaches and cream, but she sure knows how to serve just desserts!
