It's the genuine affront I think. When adults rant we (usually) know that they know that they're going a bit over the top, all parties are self-aware and indulging themselves. This girl could easily be any of my students in the NW of England. When I moved to Britain from America to work as a music teacher I had this silly idea that kids here would all be kinda posh and have "Hermione accents". First day on the job I discovered they were all like this little girl. The roughness, the feistiness, but also the massive heart they put into everything they say and do. Thank you for sharing this video. I'd always wanted to show my family and friends in the States how these kids are, but as a teacher you can't just whip out your phone and record them 😂

Nope. A few years ago, one of my knee-jerk Republican cousins, the one who knows all the talking points, simply told me, "Who cares? We don't even know if microplastics cause any harm. Have you heard of any harm they cause?" I mentioned the studies I was talking about, where it was impairing reproduction in some wildlife. "But we don't know it causes harm in humans." He was also the same one (with his PhD in Lawn Care for golf courses, I shit you not) who told me Round-Up was not a carcinogen, after studies proved it to be so. He is always ready to deny any form of science, apparently to prove how smart he is, to not follow the herd (of people who understand science). Until we can overcome Republican opposition to GOOD, well-funded, and fulsome public education, to eradicate all this ignorance and false pride in bullshit, our nation will continue to languish in the filth of the ignorant and pridefully stupid.

Tbf the pollutants aren't 'just' in society. Wealthy society has caused the 'world' to be polluted. Microplastics, as big an issue as they are, are actually the least of our pollution problems. Global cancer rates have doubled over the past 40 years because tens of millions of tonnes of carcinogenic waste products have been dumped into riverways and the oceans by American companies alone. For example ( one example out of literally ten thousand ), a by-product of Teflon is even more toxic than asbestos and yet it has been found in 80% of Asian blood samples. Clearly, this one product is a global catastrophe yet those who dump it are still protected by corporate-mandated law. That is all thanks to corporate lobbying ergo special interests; the people who can afford to bathe in pure spring water. This sort of corruption you would hear only in historical stories and people assume it is all in the past. But far from it. Things are worse now than they ever were. All thanks to the petrochemical company's greed and the corrupt conservative politicians in their pockets. Thank you for reading my rant.📢💚🌍🌎🌏#juststopoil #XR

It's certainly not obscene. It might sound indecorous to some, possibly because children, especially little girls, are by conventional thinking not supposed to feel or express strong emotions, certainly not righteous, vitriolic indignation. It's weird, I speak about as blue as it is possible to get in my daily life, but it still always shocks and surprises me when I hear American children say "pissed" to mean angry.
