Man, I have witnessed the hospitality from almost all parts of Pakistan but the people of Peshawar just seem extraordinarily kind and selfless. I also agree that refusing to accept the free item offered could seem patronising and insulting. On another note, these vlogs are absolutely amazing, I look forward to your uploads daily! Keep it up, and keep proving to the world that these seemingly ‘dangerous’ places are the complete opposite!
hospitality is the beauty of Pakistan from Azad kashmir to Gilgit to Punjab to Balochistan to KPK to Sindh you found hospitality of Pakistan every where
I demolished a right feast a couple o' hours back, but that, Iqbal's barbecue grub's got me salivating! Just the look of it being grilled, I can smell it, man, I swear! 😩😂
Another amazing video, I really appreciate you guys going off the beaten path and showing us the real places where regular citizens eat and drink. Made me feel like I was visiting myself! You guys exude a genuineness and sincerity which I think is reciprocated by the people. It's all good! (Also, if you noticed, only men go into the qahwa shops like that. but they all behaved very nicely. I lived in Pakistan for years but never made it into Peshawar. seems pretty cool)
@EllisWR edited my comment. The food looks tasty not the good haha.... Yeah this city looks cool. A shame about the rubbish situation. Out of the 3 cities you guys visited though this one is my favorite for sure!
Love pershawar from Lahore i was there 2 times long time ago and i remeber the 2 things Chapli Kabab and their long Nan someday will go there just for this :)
Pakistan is truly a food haven country. If there is a country that guarantee amazing food, it will be Pakistan that will top it....but be careful because you could get the runs
Excellent vids guys. Your chapli kebabs looked so interesting I looked up a recipe on youtube and cooked them tonight. What a flavour bomb. Was able to source all the spices required. Sitting here feeling quite ill as I ate so much. Keep up the great work
its true, afghans would take serious offence if you did not take a 'gift' from them or if you forced to pay them.Seriously muslims in afghanistan and pakistan have big hearts, even though they have small pockets (are poor). They are genuinely happy westeners are visiting.
to be honest i am very impressed by their hospitability, they just gifted it to you without even knowing you. they are so generous. I am pround of all Pushtoons (Puktoons, Pashtoons).
Asalamualaikum Ellis you are so lucky you got a beautiful wife. She is such a nice person with friendly behaviour. She dresses like a Muslim woman which is quite interesting!love watching your videos from Indian Kashmir.Hope u will visit our place as well inshallah
kachalo in pashto arbi in urdu When boiled and eaten with chatni ... it is called kachalo payra locally. Taro is a root vegetable. It is the most widely cultivated species of several plants in the family Araceae that are used as vegetables for their corms, leaves, stems, and petioles. Taro corms are a food staple in African, Oceanic, East Asian, Southeast Asian and South Asian cultures.
I am in Germany but from a year I am craving for what you are having at 48:55. It is a kind of potatoe that is boiled and then eaten with sauery sauce with cucumber and onions slices. a bit chilli ish and tamarind sauce ....
At the end you ate delicious 'kachalu' 😋 in english its called Taro root. Sauce was 'dried mango, yogurt, fresh mint and coriander chatni with lime and vinegar' Which is only cultivated nearby peshawar. I have never seen any foreign travel vlogger who has tried it. But its very famous in local people of khyber pakhtoonkhwa.
That tea shop was amazing! I don't know how you were able to remain so comfortable with filming with like 10 blokes next to you, staring right at you like you were an alien haha.
Visit diffrent place in pakistan and support tourism in pakistan plz. We need from foregin people. And hospitality is our nature. Welcome and Enjoy in Pakistan❤
Thanks so much my friend 🙏 We don't do the large tipping thing for the camera! We don't have much money ourselves but we had a really nice time with them and a great chat 🙏🙏🙏
Don’t suppose you guys were there at the same time as Jack and Paige were you? But also depends on when both vloggers were there ie days or maybe weeks/months apart
@@EllisWR I knew that about you guys being friends, I’ve been watching Jack and Paige and their trip around the Asian continent for about six months and more, that’s how I already knew
Hi Elis would appreciate a personal response as my kids love your vlogs. Which country’s food have found most tasty and delicious in everywhere you have visited?
I love visiting Pakistan as l love the culture and lifestyle but l find it so difficult being a vegetarian and being surrounded by meat and chicken everywhere...but l do love authentic tandoori naan
@@EllisWR lm from Lahore so will always go back regardless. And not everyone is a meateater in Pakistan. There are amazing vegetarian dishes to be had. But l was referring to the open meat markets and live chicken slaughter that's on many of the streets. Coming from the UK some things unfortunately are a no no
