I love watching your videos and have learned quite a bit from you. I would have one suggestion that instead of calling it meatless Monday give it a meatless Friday because as orthodox Christians we should not be eating meat on Friday just an idea and again love your videos.
I made this today.. 👌 i used spinach because i had it and white kidney beans, followed the rest of the recipe just like u told me ..also added fetta to it, never had it with soup before.. delicious 😋 thank you and theres other vegetarian dishes that you have and cant wait to try..😊
I made this tonight and it was delicious! I’m not a fan of tomato-based soups so this was perfect! It’s so hearty and filling and super easy to make! This was my first time trying baby kale and now I’m obsessed!!
Hi Dimitra, I also add feta so some soups and lentils. Only the ones that have not done it, just they don't know what they are missing :) Keep one with the good job and stay healthy & safe!
I made this last night for dinner! All the ingredients go with our Sirtfood! It was soooo delicious!! I had all the ingredients on hand so it was nice to make something so easy for dinner! ❤️
Made this today and it is DE-li-ciousss! Used baby spinach and arugula instead of kale it is so yummy. Accompanied with some pitta and Dimitras tzatziki recipe, tasty feast!!
Great job from a fellow Greek! The salt thing is not true - at least for us - I live in NOLA and make red beans and rice all the time and we season with some smoked/super salty pork - and the beans and super creamy 😊. Same with black beans and any beans or legumes we cook. Come out the same. Love your recipes!
My roots are also Greek So I've enjoyed making many of your dishes. I make my Fasolada in the same way but have never added the greens. Thanks for the ideas.
Go the Fetta!! Yummy Dimitra, certainly looks delicious. Can’t wait to cook it for the family and afcourse it wouldn’t be a Dimitra recipe without the Fetta😜
You are the best Dimitra ❤ ..I told a friend..if I die...put feta cheese in my casket!!! She then said...just imagine how lovely that'll be if you were cremated!!!! Me: 😮😮😮....I walked into that!! This soup is a definite for starters at my dinner do...sending you loads of love and light from us here in 🇮🇪 Ireland!! Xxx❤😊
Yum! I'm making this tomorrow! I favor escarole, so I'll be using that green and probably top it off with some grated cheese (although not feta, lol.. which I love but not with this soup)!
Hello, thank you for this! I happen to love kale. Cook it in a cast iron wok, sear the edges, serve with horseradish sauce and OH MY. I also love fasolada, both the tomato and creamy versions. Would white sweet potatoes {not orange yams} work well with this?
Dimitri, I am trying this recipe tonight. My question is if I don't have fresh parsley can I use parsley flakes? Or can I use Fresh Cilantro instead? Hope to hear from you soon.:-)
@@DimitrasDishes I used the flakes and I see you're right, they don't have much flavor. The soup still came out delicious. I really wanted to use the fresh cilantro but I was afraid..I will definitely be making this soup again real soon. Thanks so much. As a matter of fact I plan to try more of your recieps.
Looks soo yummy and healthy! I didnt realize your restraunt is in Texas. I live in Tyler,Tx ( about 1hr east of Dallas) i will have to make a trip to spring,Tx one day!
I love your video. So down-to-earth and to the point. Your ego doesn't get in the way. Much appreciated. And the soup looks perfectly delicious! To make it creamier can I use less broth?
This looks amazing...also learned a great tip for pre-purée and freeze garlic, I never though of that. But just wanted to share: must avoid buying pre-peeled garlic cloves...majority of garlic is imported from China with much lower health standards in how produce is grown and handled, but more importantly the documentary series “Rotten” exposes the garlic industry...prepeeled garlic usually comes from China and is peeled by prisoners in slave labor setting, and many lose finger nails from long term exposure and they use their teeth to assist in peeling. Beware! Only buy full garlic bulbs with some roots still attached because they’re most likely not imported from China.
