Yeah, did hurt the pride a lot - but it was a failure of my own making which means as long as we take away some lessons and improve it's less likely to happen again going forwards. Hopefully my mistakes mean other people can avoid similar losses themselves. Did really hurt straight after though!

Yeah when I play Sledgehammers I'm always terrified of Scorpions, which means I need to harness that power for myself in return. The Stormcallers did put me off a little, but without a solid answer to the tanks we'd never get to the Scorpions. Thanks for the reminder!

yeah but wasps would be an easy counter until the marksmen get upgraded with assualt.

Or rapid reload. Or even just sheer number and double shot.

I think the game's balance isn't bad, as long as you're willing to use all the unit options fully then everything can be countered. Right now I suspect Overlords are one of the strongest units in the game and that combined with the addition of Scorpions has made playing carry Sledgehammers almost impossible. My error here was not answering them quickly enough - there's lots of options. I'll list units good against tanks as an example: Scorpion, Overlord, Phoenix, Fortress, Wraith, Rhino, Arclight with Charged Shot, Sniper, Steelballs as long as you have some chaff clear, Melting Point if there's not too many of them but they're high level, Vulcan with Scorching Flame, Elite Wasps can delete them... yeah there's a lot of answers that I really should have considered! Stormcallers the list is a bit shorter though, so we can agree on that :D

@@Drone_101oh you might’ve misunderstood I didn’t mean they don’t have counters just that the comparative value from them is a bit high. Not as bad for tanks it’s only a little as they do have a lot of counters like you said, but stormcallers are the real offenders, just too good at too many things for too cheap, couldn’t really tell you how to even try to improve that either

@@achilles8804 Ahhh gotcha! Yeah, I defo prioritise early tanks on the unit/specialist choice cards because I value them as both chaff clear and frontline. I'm hyper aware of all their counters though from playing them, possibly too much! Haha

Yeah for sure, I'm far too hesitant to sell units - I'm way too hung up on not falling behind on board that I miss the chances to jump ahead! Thanks, will try and be more assertive in future.

Yeah, this was a toughie! Lots to learn though and that's a win all of it's own.

Haha, yeah was a proper thrashing! Needed it though, I've been complacent with my early positioning and letting tempo pass us by for greedy plays of late.

My pleasure as always dude. This was a rough one but gotta see defeats as lessons learned. Skill is earned and refined by practise. Lots to take away from this one, hopefully I've saved a few people a bruising by sharing this experience!

Yeah Scorpions are great for clearing tanks, I should definitely have given them more consideration instead of the Forts.
