@@stephenhepworth3113 I stuck my hand back inside and hand tightened the nut. Then I used a stubby wrench to hold the nut from the inside and tightened the top with my other hand. The hard part is getting the washer to stay in place and then inserting the nut.
Farm boy here lol. You forgot to tell the secrect on how to pull the washer or nut up. 😂 turning the wire into a tee at the end to hold the nut up. Grandpa taught me that one. ❤
And he should have left himself some wire on both ends the weight of that nut in Washington have easily pulled that inside Daniel reaching around with the alligator clips but I believe it's aluminum for Sparks
Excellent trick. I like it. I'll have to remember that. Of course you can probably should find out how far your arm can go in there in that opening and then don't put the fitting too far away from that large fuel filler opening but excellent work. The reason I say all that is because I would probably put the fitting in and then it's too far away and then I can't get my arm all the way in the fuel filler opening to reach the fitting so that I can put the nut on the back side of it and the washer. But like I said before excellent work
Well the first thing I saw is that you stuck your hand into the cell if you can get your hand in there then you can tighten it up by hand you don't got to use that wire and to top it off it'll be nice to show what the purpose of the wire was for all you did was drop the nut in the washer on it and that was it pretty useless video of you asked me bud sorry for the harsh criticism but I'm just saying
I appreciate the comment! Let me help. The issue is implied in the fix. When you have a bung like this, the threaded end is on the underside(inside)of the tank. In order for it to seal properly, you have to insert an O ring, then the beveled washer, and then the nut. Because of the tight quarters,I can’t fit my mit through the hole with the washer and nut inside of it. The issue is, I can do the washer, then get my hand out, and then go back inside and put the nut on. Gravity pulls the washer down and it falls off in that process. So the wire is an easy trick.
@@kittybrowneye3163 I just reinserted my hand and hand tightened the nut. Then slid a wrench inside through the opening, in to my hand, and held the nut.
