Mechanical Elephant - Week 18 of  

Here it is, my latest Blender model of a mechanical elephant. This project was of paramount importance to learn one thing or two about (simple) rigging, modelling, and most importantly playing with imagination and trial/error. Coming up with the concept and drawing it on paper was such a helpful step, as it allowed me to stop and think at what I wanted to reproduce and how I expected all to tie in together. For that, you might notice a few differences between this final model and the one I drew last week (check my instagram to see it). Bones, constraints and headscratches were also a big part of this project, together with the Alt-D key combination on those cogs. I hope you like the concept and the final result, and I am already thinking ahead to the next... organic sculpt 😋
