Dope comparison! Biomedical was also something that fascinated me but my belief is that mechanical, electrical, and software engineering are better choices for job security.
Yes. Bme is kinda hit or miss. Working with robots or systems or medical products is cool but you also won't make what me ee ce Etc will make, the jobs aren't there, so shortage of jobs surplus of people means you don't get paid as much as the other engineering degrees
I think I definitely made the right decision when I picked mechanical. As soon as you mentioned "if you enjoyed biology in high school..." I knew biomedical wasn't for me LOL! Another gem, my man!
Bro this engineering guide was so helpful and as comprehensive as it gets! You deserve more subscribers for sure. I have so many regrets about my major and wished I saw something like this when I was applying to colleges in high school🔥
Super detailed and to the point. Great review. BME was more a starting point for a lot of ppl in my school. Either for grad or med school. ME is a great choice for someone’s looking for a good career and decent pay without having the need to go to grad.
Very interesting majors. It is great that you are helping people to choose between the majors. Many people simply do not know which one is right for them. Great job. Like 21.
Very interesting but in my point of view I will choose biomedical engineering because I love both math physics chemistry as well as I love biology also too much so I have taken write decision for my future it may be bright or not whatever it may be but I think it will bright bright bright bright for me I know I have interest and I will do it I will
Hi Lucio, can I email you to ask you more questions about your role and your journey into clinical engineering. I'm studying mechanical engineering and hoping to get into clinical/BME
I know this video is over a year old, but I am currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering (BME) with a focus on medical devices. I also plan to take summer classes to earn at least a minor, and hopefully a bachelor's, in machine learning. My goal is to integrate medical devices with machine learning. Do you think BME is a good option? I'm still a bit unsure, but I enjoy both programming and biology, so I'm considering a career in biomedical software engineering.
you have to add that there are more than 20X the number of mechanical engineers graduating than biomedical engineers each year. mechanical engineering has huge enrollment in north america and around the world. many more people are competing for those mechanical engineering jobs. very few have biomedical engineering degrees and they are almost exclusively in north american universities.
I hate anatomy. Physics is so interesting for me. I love programming but I don't want to take ict. I like chemistry and knowing what chemicals and sht do but it's hard af so I'm taking biochem🎊
