Problem 6
A passenger sitting in a tram moving at a speed vt = 10 km/h observes two pedestrians moving in opposite directions, on roads parallel to the tram track. Pedestrians move rectilinearly and uniformly with equal speeds vp = 2 km/h. Calculate the speed of each pedestrian recorded by the tram passenger.
Problem 7
An escalator climbs straight and uniformly at a speed of 2 m/s between two floors. The length of the staircase between the two floors is 4 meters. Find the time interval in which a man at rest on the ladder will climb between the two floors. If the man rushes up the escalator at a speed of 1 m/s, how long does it take him to reach the top floor, given that the escalator is going up at a speed of 2 m/s?
Problem 8
Below is the variation table of the movement of a student leaving school and arriving home. In the table, x is the student's home coordinate. The movement of the pupil is known to be rectilinear. It graphs the student's movement, identifies the type of movement and calculates the average speed with which it moved.
