Mechanism of Occipitoposterior Labour - Long Rotation

it happens quite alot actually 90% of occipito-posterior cases turn into occipito-anterior by long anterior rotation (3/8 of a circle) and the labor continues as a normal OA this is due to slight deflexion of the head see, the greater the degree of deflesion, the worse the chance for vaginal delivery

I gave birth 2 weeks ago, my third child had this position, very long and painful labor , It was born anyway...it rotated by itself....
